Had the extreme pleasure of working with Scott at Manly. It was initially an internet quote that I had, and from the get go, he was competitive with practically any Honda dealer in the Bay Area (yes I drove It was initially an internet quote that I had, and from the get go, he was competitive with practically any Honda dealer in the Bay Area (yes I drove that far from the East Bay to Santa Rosa since it was a pretty sweet deal). Scott was not only informative, and professional from the get go, but he provided me with a breakdown of the quote of the vehicle I was looking for in a professional manner by sending me a invoiced PDF with all charges with an OTD price so that I knew what kind of numbers I was exactly dealing with - many other online Honda dealers didn't go above and beyond in these regards which left some ambiguity in the negotiation process (I was in negotiations with at least 35 different dealerships, and they were using all sorts of shortsighted sales tactics to beat around the bush - pretty annoying to say the least). In short, he did not waste my time, and if anything expedited the process of buying the car - before I even drove out to Santa Rosa (1.5 hrs), he facilitated a majority of the paper work online that I submitted at home, wherein I only took an hour or so at the dealership and was out on the road with the car. I can attest that he's a seasoned professional in the field from interacting with him from the internet to meeting him at the dealership. The dealer lot was also surprisingly full with inventory whereas many dealerships in the bay area on average had half of their lots full. This was further exhibited by the fact that I saw so many customers on their floor, so probably alongside the deals that this dealership is specifically providing, they also must be hiring the right people to run this place. We also dealt with Ali in the finance department who came off as a pretty cool dude, who walked us through the whole process and explained the agreements we were to sign for financing - he too was focused on detail and made sure there were no discrepancies in paperwork. He didn't attempt to oversell us on anything we didn't need or haggle on any other things that other finance managers would in order to secure greater margin on the financing terms. In any case, if I happen to find myself trying to purchase a new Honda again, I for sure know who and where exactly to go to next. This place albeit a dealership certainly doesn't have the stealership vibes - these people for sure have a different approach/ sales philosophy from others dealerships that many are accustomed to, and it was a refreshing expiernce to say the least. More
