I had "sold myself" on the vehicle I bought, so there was no need for someone to sell it to me. I was looking for a price that I could afford and an acceptable trade in value for my curr bought, so there was no need for someone to sell it to me. Some salesman will not do this over the phone so there is a big thanks to him for accomodating me. He was very busy, but pleasant and informative when we got together. I was somewhat disappointed that the accessories I ordered with the vehicle did not arrive with the vehicle at delivery. I had to make a special trip to get them, but he helped shorten the trip by meeting me at a designated point. There was almost 2 months wait for the vehicle so they should have been installed. Overall, all is well that ends well. I am very happy with my purchase, and would seek Travis if I were to purchase again. More

Great dealership and customer service. I was referred to Mankato Motors by my cousin and went to test drive cars a little over a week ago. When we went, Jesse Severson ( who my cousin highly recommended) wasn't there the day but he left information there for us so they knew we were coming and we were able to go right in and pretty much test drive all that we wanted. I test drove many vehicles and I left with a pretty good idea of the vehicles I wanted to check into. I was also given information on the great leasing program for the volkswagon passat which happened to be my favorite vehicle that day. I had never even thought about leasing a vehicle. Jesse called on Monday morning and we talked about the vehicle I was interested in, the trade in with my 2009 Dodge Journey and what he needed to start the process. I called back by 2pm that day and worked with Ralph and Jesse to close the deal on my trade in. They offered me more than what Blue Book was and more than enough to pay off my loan. I left Hutch later that night and went to Mankato to sign paperwork and close the deal as everything was complete over the phone in just a few converstations. What I just loved about the customer service was that they answered all my questions and didn't just rush me out the door. Jesse came out to show me how everything worked in the car...lights, cruise, radio, bluetooth and not to mention paired my phone for me. I bought my new dodge journey from a dealership in town and was not shown any of the bells and whistles in my journey, I had to figure out everything on my own by trial and error. I am sure there are alot of things I never even knew that the journey could do. I love my new 2012 Volkswagon Passat and the affordable payment ( that I cut in half from the journey). I will be recommending Mankato Motors to everyone I know as this is how your new vehicle purchase should be. Mike worked hard to find my daughter the perfect car within her price range. He was patient and kept her informed of what was available that he thought would work for her. I felt they offered the lowest price they thought they could and still have the deal go through. The evaluator was, I felt, unkind and not exactly honest. More

Think twice before bringing your vehicle here for service. I brought my vehicle in to get the rear brakes fixed. After paying nearly $500 I got the car back. My wife drove it for the next two months and then commented that the brakes were making noise. When I checked out the vehicle I realized that they had not properly lubricated the brakes, they had not bled the brake lines so the pedal could be pushed almost to the floor before engaging, and the calipers were so dirty that the pads were only engaging on a very small spot. The car was downright dangerous to drive. They told me I was lucky they were going to make it right because most places would have charged me. They also told me that I was lucky that I nothing serious happened. No apologies were offered and the manager was demeaning and kept trying to put the blame on me. He said that he stood behind the work of his shop. They put my wife's life in danger because they didn't do a complete job. They told me it was my fault that I didn't get the car in sooner when I noticed a problem. (My wife is car illiterate in the first place and she only drove it about once a week; I didn't know about the problem until 2 months after we got the car back). They were in the wrong for returning my car to me in a dangerous condition. Beyond this, they used crappy after market rotors which don't look anything like the front, are completely rusted and look nothing like the factory versions. When I picked up my car it was sitting unlocked in their lot and had been that way for a few days while I was out of town. I'm very disappointed and recommend seeking help elsewhere. More

Carey was super to work with and very friendly and helpful. However I do feel I was a bit shorted when it came numbers $ time. I told him right away that my vehicle has a partial salvage title and I was aware the value might be a bit down, but not as far down as he thought. He drove it only about two blocks and the whole way telling me how little it is worth because of the title. This was a spotless 2004 Malibu with only 67,000 miles. I was not very happy with this at all. When we got back to the office he told me he could only give me $2000.00!! towards trade in, and that noone would want to buy this car because of the salvage title. This was a spotless 2004 Malibu with 67,000 miles!! I should have and almost did walk away right there. I can assure you that your dealership probably sold this, or would sell a similar car for about $4500.00 or more. I asked if the price of the Altima I was interested in would come down a bit and was told it was as low as you could go, naturally. I was trying to upgrade vehicles and keep payment under $200.00. I finally got my trade in to a whopping $2300. and because of my friendhip with Carey, and I did like the Altima, I decided to go with the deal. I wish now I had not done so. I will be running a Carfax on my Altima as I did see a few things out of the ordinary and we will see what happens. Hopefully nothing. More
