I worked with Dennis Paz who really tried to work with me on the car WITHOUT the usual sales pitch. So I bought a camrey. I told him if he could get me a good deal on another F J I would consider a second purchase. After a couple of weeks we talked and with the help of Jeff the manager I just bought the F J also. this is the fourth car in the last three years From Manhattan Toyota. These are a bunch of great people. Even Nat the finance man (and I usually do not like the finance guys) was great! Good job training these guys! Steve Scheman More

After sales service is another reason I like this dealership. Having the oldest, largest, and most highly respected multiple martial arts school in South Bay for 40 years, I know how important quality, low prices, and student (customer) service is. I especially like the free car washes each week. Joy Anderson, the Customer Relations Manager, made sure my questions were answered. It seemed like a daunting task before I went to the dealer but from the moment I got in contact with Gabe it was truly something I never expected from a dealership. He was extremely courteous and even offered to pick up a key at my home the following day to remove my tow hitch because I had forgotten it. I was in and out of the dealer in about 2 hours. What I really appreciated was that he stayed really late beyond his normal shift hours to accommodate us. I know that family time is essential and he really made the buying experience comfortable and never rushed any aspect of the transaction. I went to MB Toyota to purchase a car and was helped by Gabe. All I can say is....wow! He went above and beyond to make sure that I drove away in the car that I wanted. Gabe Romero is the greatest - never once did he adopt a "high pressure sales approach". I can work with high pressure salesmen , but my wife hates the car buying experience! Gabe told us about the car we were interested in (a Prius V 5 with AT package). His colleague (Bill Leyva) took us for a test drive later and was also very helpful. We decided to buy after the test drive and told Gabe that we would not have the finances until end of January (we first went into the dealership in mid-December.) We wanted a particular car - Blizzard Pearl with Bisque interior - Gabe said he would track one down and get it for us. He did. He called on Saturday 28th January to let me know he had the car. We went into sign the paperwork on Sunday - here we met Gabe who showed us the car - it was gorgeous and had everything we wanted. Then we met the Finance Manager (Steve Choi) - this proved to be more like the car buying experience of earlier years - some high pressure, but not too much. Steve was an amiable person who explained the various packages that MB Toyota could offer. We declined the paint protection package, the alarm system, Lojack, and Titanium Plus (windshield, wheels, tires). We accepted Platinum Plus Warranty (as the car is so complicated (high tech.) I could not believe that something expensive would not go wrong in 8 years) and Prepaid Maintenance for 5 years as even Toyota's need maintenance! My wife and I have owned six Toyotas, and I worked for Toyota (at Torrance HQ) - so we are biased - we think Toyota makes the best cars for the general public and also that Manhattan Beach Toyota was the best dealership we have bought a new car from. I would recommend our experience to all our friends and family. More

I took my mother to John Elway Toyota in Manhattan Beach to buy her a new car. My mother is a sweet, tiny, 83 year old widow on a LIMITED budget. We found her car, her color and her price. First, after one hour, they tried to tell us they no longer had her car in the color she wanted. Then, after sitting around for 2 hours, we get to the finance manager and he tells us the deal is not the deal they ORALLY CONTRACTED to with us. They fought my poor senior citizen mother over $500...which was THEIR mistake. The customer is NOT always right at this dealership. Make sure you are ready for the "bait and switch'" if you patronize this dealership. IT WAS OFFENSIVE THAT THE TRIED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF A WIDOW!!! More
