I purchased a 2015 Ford Fusion on Wednesday, December 4th. On Sunday, December 8, I went to unlock the car and it would not unlock. Thinking that it could be the battery in the remote, I tried the other 4th. On Sunday, December 8, I went to unlock the car and it would not unlock. Thinking that it could be the battery in the remote, I tried the other one. Still nothing. I remove the cover off the lock on the driver side and got in the car. Everything was dead. I popped the hood and of course start looking at the battery because that’s what it seems to be. upon inspecting the battery closer I noticed that it was swollen on the end. I removed the battery and sure enough the other end was the same way. There is no way that this happened within four days of me purchasing the car. It was something that was missed and the service department before the car was sold. I reached out to the dealership and spoke to a sales manager, who pretty much blowed it off and said that they were not going to cover it. I sent pictures and videos to not only Neil, but to also the general manager in an email. I have heard nothing. This is absolutely poor customer service after the sale. I sadly will never purchase another car from this dealership nor will I ever recommend this dealership. if anyone ask me about this dealership, I will tell them the exact problem that I had. I suppose had I bought a brand new car ranging from $50-$100,000 or a preowned car that would’ve been $20-$40,000 they would’ve been all over it to replace the battery. I have purchased a car from a different dealership in Florida several years ago. Had an issue the day after and that dealership bent over backwards to make sure that they took care of the issue so that I was taken care of. It’s not the fact that I can’t afford the battery. It’s the fact of this should’ve been taken care of by the dealership. This leaves a bad taste in my mouth for this dealership and sadly, I will not be returning to this dealership to ever purchase another vehicle again, regardless of how bad that I want a vehicle that they may have. As far as the one that was my sales rep, chip, he was good. I have no complaints with him. My complaints is the management. They don’t care about the customer. Experience was super disappointing. My husband and I spent almost two hours test driving a couple of vehicles. Never were we informed that Mandal does not accept outside financing. I should note when I "checked in", I told the product specialist that I would not need finacing from the dealership because I was already financed through my credit union. I understand the dealership is within their right to refuse outside financing, but this information should be disclosed well before discussion of numbers so people don't waste their time. I would be remise to mention the sales person did not even offer financing option through the dealership and he was not very kind. He didn't like being questioned about products that he said were mandatory and as a consumer we could not decline. It was not a pleasant experience and a complete waste of time. We went to another dealership, found a great vehicle with same options at a comparable price. It is too bad that this was a deal that this dealership missed out on. More
