I very much hate car shopping, but the Honda dealership does take the hassle out of car buying, and I actually enjoyed it. No hassle, and a great friendly and honest atmosphere. Too often reviews impact dealerships, restaurants, and customer service surveys in general, in a negative light. This is because consumers who have good experiences don't really take the time to fill out surveys. Why fill it out if everything is well with the world? The exact opposite is true for consumers who receive poor quality service. Every customer who believes they were treated negatively will ALWAYS fill out a survey, while customers who receive excellent quality service hardly ever fill out surveys. I'm writing because I never follow the mainstream. My experience at Manchester Honda was outstanding in every category listed on the survey, and I'm happy to take the time to tell you EXACTLY why that is: I filled out an online survey with Honda.com on December 26, 2013. I was very specific in listing the exact Honda vehicle, color, model, options, and accessories that I wanted. I was contacted that very same night by Manchester Honda's internet sales consultant at Manchester Honda. She was polite, courteous, non-pushy, and extremely knowledgable. She quoted me the price of my requested vehicle with requested accessories including mechanic labor over the telephone. She was very professional. I was so impressed I drove 22 miles to Manchester Honda that very night. I arrived at 7pm. The internet sales consultant greeted me at the door, offered me coffee, and very courteously introduced me to the man, the legend, the car salesman hero, that is Mark Allen. Mark knew Honda. He knew the exact horsepower, options, models, packages, and availability of every White CR-V within a 200 miles radius of Manchester, Connecticut. He knew I didn't ask for the highest and most expensive model yet he NEVER pushed me to consider a step up. He worked WITH me to find out what type of person I was, and what I was looking for in an automobile. From there we confirmed exactly what model of CR-V and options would be best for me. Mark made me feel comfortable with the options I selected. As luck would have it, Manchester Honda had my exact model with accessories, in stock. After my automobile selection had been narrowed down, Mark Allen and I proceeded to talk about how to properly connect an XBOX console to an HD TV for the next 15 minutes and how NOT to make our women angry for the holidays, while I looked over different CR-Vs interiors for comfort and accessibility. Even though it was 7:30pm at night and the dealership was getting ready to close at 8pm, Mark continued to smile, continued to laugh, continued to explain the CR-V in depth, and also brought up the protection package which I was totally unaware of. Honda.com doesn't say anything about a protection package for a CR-V. But Mark knew about it! Perhaps it's just a Manchester Honda package. If so, Honda should make it accessible on their site. It had three of the stand-alone options I needed! Needless to say I purchased the protection package. At 7:45pm I had purchased my new CR-V. It wasn't because the vehicle was in stock. It wasn't because of the breakdown the internet sales consultant gave me upfront before I drove to the dealership. It wasn't even the price of the vehicle. It was because Mark Allen knew how to treat a person looking to make one of the most important purchases in life. He understands good customer service. He can identify with the consumer/customer, incorporate humor into a sales deal, and give respect to a United States Veteran (5 years active duty Gulf War). (It helped that he was an avid XBOX fan :). All that Mark was able to do for me as a consumer, combined with reasonable pricing, availability of accessories and vehicle models, as well as a sales support team second to none, has ensured that Manchester Honda has a customer for life. As an active duty five year veteran of the United States Military and satisfied new Honda owner, I salute Manchester Honda and Mark Allen for THE best car buying experience of my life for the reasons I have outlined in my review. To the management team at Manchester Honda: Please buy Mark an XBOX ONE console with a HDMI cable. It's been a stressful Holiday season and he's an asset to your team. That's not a suggestion it's an order. Thank you Mark for your service, and keep up the outstanding work! More

This was the first new car I've ever bought, it was a wonderful, pressure-free, relaxed experience. Great service and price.
