The guys over at Manahawkin Kia deserve every great rating that can be given. They really set the bar high in regards to the overall experience of purchasing a vehicle. This was my first time buying a new car and they could not have made the process any easier. They were willing to work with me and ended up getting me in the car that I wanted. Ken Scalia was very very patient with us. My wife does a lot of homework when purchasing a new vehicle, we had visited Toyota, Hyundai, Mazda, Ford, Dodge, Nissan and Kia. We were looking for a 2014 SUV. lot of homework when purchasing a new vehicle, we had visited Toyota, Hyundai, Mazda, Ford, Dodge, Nissan and Kia. We were looking for a 2014 SUV. This took about 3 months. We must of stopped to see Mr. Scalia at Kia in Manahawkin about 10 times, driving different cars and sitting down with him about prices, etc. He was very knowlegable about all the cars features and if he didn't know an answe, he went into the office and came back out with the answer. Mr Scalia never pushed himself on us in a way that would of not had us come back, he was very patient and respectful. He ordered a specific car (Kia Sorento top of the line model) and when it finally came in it had a different color interior and my wife did not want it. Mr. Scalia was kind enough to call around and look for that specific vehicle that she wanted, but it was not in stock yet . On April 13, 2012 at 5:00 pm we went to look at the vehicle that he ordered, which only came with black interior and my wife wanted gray. After driving the vehicle and opening the sun roof and finding out that the dashboard (from Ken) was black in all the Kia models, I finally explained to my wife that this particular car, model that she wanted only came in black or other colors that she didn't want. When I opened the full sun roof she saw the difference that she was looking for, that open feeling and not feeling squeezed into the vehicle. We purchased the vehicle and everyone, especially Mr. Scalia was extremly helpful. They close on Saturday's at 6:00 pm and stayed later to make sure we had the car detailed and had all the paperwork signed. Mr. Scalia should be recognized at your dealership and given some type of recognition/raise for his efforts. We enjoyed talking to him he made our car buying experience a pleasure. We will send other friends and family to this Kia dealership and tell them to ask for Ken Scalia when purchasing a car. More

Had a very well knowledgeable sales representative, named Cary Gardner. She was quite professional in her dealings of the purchase of a 2013 Kia Optima. I am currently happy that I did business with manahawkin kia. At first blush I wasn't going to buy my kia at manahawkin kia, but at second blush I am glad that I went back to work out a deal. My salesman Al Angelo is a real natural, cordial,down to earth, displaying truth, and honesty type of fellow. He was not your usual pushy, buy it now, or don't waste my time, kind of sales person. I got the feeling when I first met him that he was experienced, and wanted to offer what was right for me. Al is one of the main reasons that I bought a car from manahawkin kia. In my opinion he is a plus for this dealership. Al sought out the help of Dirk DeHooge, Jr., sales manager to help give me the kind of deal that I felt I should be getting. Dirk didn't only go that "extra mile", he went an "extra 2 miles" to gained my trust, and business for manahawkin kia. In all my years of car buying (and that's about 34 cars) I must say that I can't remember a sales manager with the personality, and people skills as Dirks. He did all that he could do to make a deal, (short of offering to make my payments for me, ha!,ha!) My wife wasn't with me when I agreed on the deal, but when I went in two days later to sign the papers, my wife said she had to go in, and meet these two gentlemen, because she knew of some of the treatment that we had gotten over the 34 car experiences, some were nightmares. Of course we didn't buy cars from those that did treat us poorly. Also, I must say that Woody, the business manager is the most down to earth, pleasant (to deal with) business mgr. that I have ever met. My overall experience at manahawkin kia (because of these people) is why I am going to send anyone that asks me (and some I will start the conversation with) to go and buy a kia from manahawkin. I look forward to my relationship with manahawkin kia over the next several years, and hopefully give them repeat business. Additionally I have talked to the service mgr., Brian, and look forward to a good, stress free experience with the service dept. for maintenance (hopefully a problem free kia) going forward. Oh, by the way, my wife, and I after one week are loving our new kia sorento. Marv G. More
