Just bought a new Sahara, got a great deal and handling the trade in paperwork was a breeze with Chris our salesman. Key fob programming I brought my 2010 van in to have 2 new key fobs programed for $105.00. Received a call that it could not be done because the car needed a new ignition I brought my 2010 van in to have 2 new key fobs programed for $105.00. Received a call that it could not be done because the car needed a new ignition module that would cost $725.00. I did not feel comfortable with the quote after numerous online sites quoted average prices at less than half of their quote. So I had the car towed to another dealership and was told they would program the keys for $99.99 and when they went into the computer with my VIN # they told me my car's ignition module was on a recall. I was charged the total price of programing the keys at Manahawkin Chrysler and they fixed nothing and it seems like they attempted to get 725 from me and then get money again from the recall. I try to think the best of people but when the second dealership noted the recall so quickly my only conclusion is I was going to be swindled. I would appreciate a refund of my payment as compensation for the unnecessary time spent and trouble caused. More
