Although the Salesperson, Rob, and the office person, Maureen, were very courteous and professional during the process, I did not appreciate, in fact, I resented how the entire transaction was rushed to Maureen, were very courteous and professional during the process, I did not appreciate, in fact, I resented how the entire transaction was rushed to completion. I received a phone call from Rob on Tuesday morning informing me that my new Ford Ranger truck had just been delivered to the dealership and he asked if I could come in simply to sign papers since it was the last day of February and that it would only take an hour or so. I needed to sign them that day to receive promotional discounts expiring on the 28th. After signing papers and discussing trade in value of my old vehicle, I was then informed that it was mandatory for me to take the new vehicle home that day and leave my old car there. I told him I was not ready to do that as I had not prepared for that. My old car had quite a few things that I wanted to remove, including 2 child car seats, before turning it in. I asked him again to please give me a day or two to get everything out in an orderly fashion. He again refused my request but said he would help me unload everything from the trade-in vehicle to the new truck. I asked him a third time to please give me an extra day to prepare and was again refused. Finally, I had to empty the trade-in into a couple of shopping bags, and toss the the 2 car seats in the truck's rear seat. In the rush to get the transfer complete, I ended up losing one of my garage door openers and a glove. The whole process taking about 2 1/2 hours. A far cry from the 1 hour I was initially told on the phone. I sincerely hope that whatever advantage, financial or otherwise, that Malouf received from rushing to complete the transaction was worth it to them, because I will not do business with them again. This is how they treated a customer that had purchased 3 brand new vehicles from them in the past 8 years. Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! More
