They tell women "C'mon - give me a smile!" I feel compelled to share my recent experience at Jerry’s Ford for my 100,000-mile maintenance visit on my Ford Escape. Let me start off with asserting that my vehicle was not experiencing any issues prior to taking it in for this service, I did it solely as a preventative measure just like keeping up with all scheduled maintenance and oil changes that I have done religiously throughout the life of the vehicle. The visit quickly turned into repairs totaling over $3,400 encompassing AC compressor (that mysteriously “disintegrated” on inspection), front axle and exhaust system replacement and brake pads/rotors. The vehicle recently passed all state inspections and experiencing no issues whatsoever prior to bringing it into Jerry’s Ford. I paid the cost of the service without complaint, assured that the car I have come to love would be safer to drive with the maintenance complete. However, upon receiving the vehicle back, I immediately noticed a dramatic loss of power when accelerating and increased exhaust noise. Assuming there was a relation between the changes I noticed and recent service and replaced items, I contacted the dealership immediately and returned days later for them to inspect the vehicle. I have driven my vehicle daily for over 8 years, I am intimately aware of its driving characteristics and clearly knew something was wrong. I am not naive to the fact my vehicle has just over 100,000 miles. My friends and family know I am a devoted car owner. I certainly was not expecting to take a vehicle into the dealer I bought the car from and receive anything less than respectful interactions with staff and a car that performs as well as it did before a routine maintenance visit. However the reception at the service department was dismissive from the start. The service team and manager reluctantly took it on a test drive around the lot and in the local neighborhood after saying repeatedly how they couldn’t have possibly done anything wrong. They said they didn’t notice performance issues, however a tech that was on the ride-along mentioned to the manager a potential leak in the new exhaust system and was quickly hushed. Based on a family member’s suggestion I asked them to put it on a “dyno” and see if it at least was near specs and to provide me results, but they said they didn’t have the capability. I scheduled another visit to allow them to keep it overnight to do additional testing including acceleration tests on the highway. I asked for results of tests and was told there were no results to show me or were they able to demonstrate results of what testing was done. During this entire process, I was told repeatedly that my vehicle was perfectly fine. At one point the General Manager actually said “c’mon, give me a smile” after informing me that there was nothing to be done. After being a loyal customer over the years, I feel compelled to write this review, the first I have ever done, in the hopes no one else has to experience the dismissive and at times what I felt was disrespectful behavior of several Jerry’s Ford employees. Over a month has gone by now and I am still struggle every time I accelerate on the highway to get to a safe speed due to the significant loss of power. I refuse at this point to return to the dealership for another round of degrading interactions; they refuse to accept ownership or care of the service quality I received. I never asked for a penny back. I never wanted anything more than having my vehicle working a safe and drivable manner - the entire purpose of a maintenance visit. My vehicle should not be any worse than when I brought it in, nor should I feel unsafe driving it after having it serviced. As a loyal Ford and Jerry’s dealership customer and owner of several Ford vehicles over the years, I am deeply disappointed with this experience. I suggest anyone going in for service – especially women - should be very wary of dealing with Jerry’s Ford disrespectful service department. Not only will I never do business with them again, but this is the last Ford product I will ever own. More

In my lifetime, I have p I want to preface this review by stating everything is in my opinion only and based on the perceptions of my experiences. In my lifetime, I have purchased four cars from different dealerships: my first was a gently used Toyota Camry, the second was a gently used Jeep Wrangler, the third was a gently used Cadillac Escalade, and my most recent was a brand new 2015 Ford Flex from Jerry's Ford. This was a monumental moment in my life, as I had never purchased a brand new car. The salesman and manager did everything to make sure I got the car model I wanted and the payments I needed. It wasn't until after I walked off the lot that everything went south. I immediately noticed there was a defect in with the passenger visor (the screw was jetting out). The manager said he would have it fixed (free of charge) and even offered me a free car wash for my time (I tipped the car wash people $20 for doing such a great job). The service department operates during business hours and I didn't want to take off work, so I postponed getting it fixed. Next thing you know (three months after my purchase), the steering wheel of my "new car" starts making a grinding sound when I turn and the breaks start sticking and making grinding sounds as well. I was so upset! This was supposed to be a brand new car, my first, but one thing after another was falling apart! I called the service department, obviously upset because I'm making payments on a "new" vehicle that has had more issues than ANY other used car I have purchased combined! At first I didn't receive adequate customer service from the service department. However, the manager got involved and took care of EVERYTHING. He personally supervised the repairs and ensured that the quality of customer service improved. I am now confident that if anything goes wrong with my new car purchase, Jerry's team will take care of it! I still love my car and I'm glad I made the purchase. More
Very Bad Experience Guys please stay clear of this dealership when looking for a used or new vehicle. I purchased a Ford fusion sport, less then a month the car cut off s Guys please stay clear of this dealership when looking for a used or new vehicle. I purchased a Ford fusion sport, less then a month the car cut off several times. The dealer act like they didn't want to help , the service managers are awful and uneducated. They basically sell good looking cars that are lemons so you can keep coming back spending a lot of money on service. Pls make sure u get a warranty. They sold me the car with a bad battery and alternator and when I called the service managers I was hung up on twice. I had to call corporate and the warranty company on my car, Jerry Ford is awful and I wished I would have avoided them and went to another dealer. More

I will try to summarize my experiences here as succinct as possible, as my saga of horrible experiences here spans several years. This dealership has some of the worst techs in the the area. I started going here because it was up the street from my house and there aren't a lot of great reviews for Ford dealers in NOVA. I had some warranty work done here initially, and upon receiving my car back, my HVAC system was operating incorrectly, worse than before I brought it in. I brought it back and they found out they had performed the install incorrectly, and eventually fixed it. Later, I brought my car here because of loud tapping from the engine, two separate times, asking them to help me diagnose the issue so we could fix it under warranty. Both times they sent me away, telling me it was tapping lifters and was normal. After researching online and having another shop look at it, the other shop immediately was able to tell that it was an exhaust leak from a cracked manifold. I had Ford replace it under warranty, after having to tell these guys what was wrong with my vehicle (their job to figure this out). Recently, I had HVAC problems and made the mistake of bringing my car back here because my time was limited. They told me the part that was faulty was a $1400 repair, which I paid. Long story short, after 7 visits later to fix their repair and no resolution, I now had worse HVAC problems than when I originally brought the car to them with issues. It should also be noted that two times the car was given back to me without being fully assembled, with parts left uninstalled and laying on my floorboards. I eventually had another Ford dealership fix the issue, which actually was a $300 fix, and they said there was no evidence that the $1400 fix was ever faulty, so I was conned into performing an expensive repair for a part that was never broken. Ultimately, I probably brought my vehicle back to this dealership at least 10 times for re-work to correct repairs that should have been repaired correctly the first time, which equates to many lost hours from my job. They simply don't care. This is hands down the worst Ford dealership for car servicing in Northern Virginia, and anyone who brings there car here is asking for trouble. More
