Good Dealership, Bad Service My initial interaction with the guy registering my truck was unpleasant as he was rude and gave me the impression he did not care about me or my vehic My initial interaction with the guy registering my truck was unpleasant as he was rude and gave me the impression he did not care about me or my vehicle. He never said hello, please or thank you during any part of our interactions and the first thing he did is tell me that my vehicle did not qualify for the free oil change as it was used and not new. I informed him that it was new and that I had called the day before to verify that before my appointment was booked. He said it didn't matter as I gave them incorrect information. I purchased the truck from Lyndsey Cheverolet in April and it was new. I asked him to call them to confirm since my invoice was not acceptable by him and he said it was not his job to call anyone, that was my job and to bring it back if it is cleared up. I was getting pissed off by then as he already did not believe me in the first place, so why can't he help clear this up as he was either mistaken or I was a victim of fraud by the dealer. I refused to leave since I took off from my job and I called the dealer. He again kept working and said he didn't have time for it. As I was connected to the service manager at Lyndsey, he said the problem was fixed and I could hang up . I asked what the issue was and he stated someone else had entered the wrong vin #. I know it was him as he was the only one working with me. He never apologized or acknowledged the issue further. When my truck was done an hour later he said the printer was down and I couldn't get a copy of my receipt. He never asked for my email or address to give me a receipt, he just walked away. This guy is a real jerk and others in the area said I should report him but I was afraid my vehicle wold pay the price. To be honest, this is the reason I drove 2 hours to Lyndsey when I bought my truck as I had a similar experience 10 years earlier in the service department. I had heard great things from my friends about Jim price, but I have yet to be treated with respect there. I will likely find a new service center more locally and see if I can find any as good as Lyndsey Cheverolet. More
EXCELLENT - Very Satisfied I had worked with another dealer service department to rectify a consistent problem with my brakes I had been having before and still after their init I had worked with another dealer service department to rectify a consistent problem with my brakes I had been having before and still after their initial repair. Several visits, many miles and tons of frustration later, and after no response from their service department, I decided to give Price Hyundai a try. Along with my scheduled service, I asked for them to take a look at my brakes. They did just that, then walked me through and carefully explained to me why I was still having the issue, which should have been resolved during the initial repair. They fixed the problem, and actually fixed it, and I am very happy. They even put a thank you note and mint in the car. I am extremely grateful for the time and care they took with my car, and they will be my Service Center from now on. Thank you! More

Our salesman, Eric Hayslett was absolutely the best. Treated my dad with the upmost respect, got the deal done in an expedient, no-nonsense manner. Had to take the car back today, October 7, 2015, to remove a minor dent, same professional, courteous experience. Eric remembered us and took care of our every need. Would highly recommend this dealership and Mr. Hayslett in particular to anyone who asks. More

Hyuandai roadside assistance towed me to the closest dealership, Jim Price Hyundai, at no charge. I was very lucky! Though my tire was not in stock, the service manager Jeff Fraizer went above and beyond to get me a tire when he could have said "Get a tow to where they have your tire," which would have been $75. It was 5 pm (just about closing), I was out of there in less than an hour, and they even washed my car for me. Everyone was super friendly. A wonderful experience!! More

As usual, she was very accommodating and made a 10 am appointment for me. I was in and out in about an hour. She know I am picky about my car so she had the corvette tech (Ray) do my oil change. Ray met with me after the oil change was done and went over what he had done. I requested that he only put in 9 quarts of oil and give me the 10th quart to add what was needed when I got home. He was very accommodating also. I use this facility because they have qualified techs but also because Sandra Dyer goes out of her way to make sure you are satisfied with the service. She is a gem. Last fall we were travelling in our Chevy Tahoe from Richmond to Mountain Lake Lodge for our daughter's weddin OUTSTANDING customer service to us!!! Last fall we were travelling in our Chevy Tahoe from Richmond to Mountain Lake Lodge for our daughter's wedding. In the middle of nowhere, after delivering our dog to a kennel in the country, our Tahoe began acting up -- later it was determined to be the transmission. Since the largest city nearby was Charlottesville, we searched Chevy dealers and called Jim Price. I was originally told they were booked up that day for service appointments. However after telling my story, they told us to bring the car to them. What happened next was the most amazing customer service we have EVER experienced. They pulled us into service as soon as we got there (sorry to those of you already in line!) They determined that the transmission would have to be replaced, and that was going to take a couple of days! They tried to find us a rental large enough to put all of our wedding paraphernalia into including the dress, rings, and decorations (yep, we had it all.) Nothing was available in the area, so they took us to the airport where we finally were able to rent a large vehicle. We came back to the dealership to swap out all of the cargo. Jim Price Automotive said they would have the car finished on Tuesday, but when we told them we were coming back through town on Monday, they altered their service schedule to accommodate us. We pulled back through on Monday, switched all of the cargo once again, and then took the car back to the airport. While we spent a whole lot of money on a new transmission and car rental that was not in the budget during wedding week, that was nothing compared to the inconvenience we would have endured without Jim Price's awesome staff and service department (I wish I could remember everyones' names -- Sandra Dyer pulled everything together for us, and there was a gentleman who took us to the airport in the service truck.) We came to Jim Price in tears feeling utterly lost -- our car was the last thing on our minds that week. We left later that day with a 3 hour kink in our schedule, but with a plan. And we headed home on Monday with smiles and warm hearts because of a car dealership’s service department that listened and understood our dire situation. We will certainly consider purchasing our next vehicle from them -- however, they have this one running like a champ! More
