Fell in love with the mini we had as a rental during a trip. Came into the dealership as soon as we got back to see if we could find one to take home. I am in the middle of the worst auto purchase of my life. We had to go to war to get a reasonable interest rate (my FICO is ~800 cosigning for someone whose isn't) when the dealer was clearly asked to give We had to go to war to get a reasonable interest rate (my FICO is ~800 cosigning for someone whose isn't) when the dealer was clearly asked to give their best offer up front. Not until I threatened to walk did a sales manager cough up a rate absent substantial padding. We are experienced buyers and I feel this entire mess has smacked of walking into either a payday loan or casino. Sometimes people want the car they want, and Mall of Georgia Mini has taken the opportunity to screw me right to the wall. This is the worst purchase I've ever been part of on a 2024 which "isn't new and doesn't qualify for CPO." I'm absolutely floored a decent brand A-store does business this way. I wonder how many of their 5-star reviews got frog boiled on their deal and just didn't realize it. More
