They didnt check my transmission fluid when I had the truck serviced and on my way to Florida pulling a 5th wheel camper the transmission ran a little hot. Wish I could do zero stars. ...horrible experience at this dealer. I purchased my 2021 Bronco Sport from CarMax at the beginning of April, 2024. It's the first Ford I have owned ...horrible experience at this dealer. I purchased my 2021 Bronco Sport from CarMax at the beginning of April, 2024. It's the first Ford I have owned in 20+ years, so I have been looking for a dealership to partner with for service. I am a BIG believer in preventative maintenance and keeping my vehicle clean. When a recall notice came out, I decided that it would be a great opportunity to try out service at Mall of Georgia Ford. I made an appointment online for Friday, May 31 (2024) and then called the day before to ensure that I was on the schedule and to find out how long the service would take. I was told that it's usually a couple of hours, but could be as long as 4 hours. (I subsequently learned that this recall actually takes about 20 minutes!) I dropped off my vehicle early (around 9:00; my appointment was at 10:00). Given the time estimate from my phone call, I was expecting my service to be completed around 2:00. When I hadn't heard from the service advisor by 3:00, I sent a text and was told that it wasn't ready yet. I called to check on it at 4:00, and the service advisor told me that it should be ready by 5:30. I arrived around 5:00 and drove past the service bays to see if my Bronco was still in service. I saw it still parked in the service bay...an employee sitting in the front seat with his dirty boots propped up on the door sill. I went inside and let the service advisor know that I was there. Finally, about 30 minutes later, he came into the waiting room and let me know that it was ready, full of excuses as to why it took ALL DAY (none of which I cared about....not my problem). The porter drove the car up....apparently he is practicing for NASCAR or Formula One, because he came speeding through the garage...slammed on the brakes and backed it up. After mentally counting to 10 and letting the Earnhardt wannabe porter leave, I inspected the vehicle. Sure enough, the door sills hadn't been cleaned and had clear boot prints aplenty. The bottom line here is that the Mall of Georgia Ford Service Department dismally failed in customer service and is definitely off my list to return for regular (or any other kind of) maintenance. Service took more than twice as long as I was told, and my vehicle was not treated with any sort of consideration. I keep it clean and it was not returned to me in the same condition. They have lost my future business both in service and in sales. More
I have been coming here for 7 years and generally have been pleased with the service. However, my last visit really pushed me to look into other local shops of which I have found one. I delayed a service to my vehicle and then later received an email from Mall of GA Ford that they would offer a discount if I came in and had it done so I scheduled it. When I arrived I was told they did not have the part and that the email was from a 3rd parts even though it has been sent from a Mall of Georgia account. They asked me if I wanted to leave my vehicle which I declined. Trying to call back and reschedule I could not connect to anyone and I stead continue to receive surveys. This happened 2 months ago and yet I continue to receive surveys and yet nothing about the inconvenience I experienced trying to get this service completed. I feel Ford has a great feedback system but I wonder if that is at the expense of their service. More
