At Mall of Georgia Ford we believe in service after the sale and do everything in our power to address all concerns for our loyal customers. A review such as this comes as a great surprise because after searching our records and discussions with our staff and management team we can find no record or recollection of this situation. It is difficult to believe that something of this nature would occur and the customer would not call on a member of our management team to seek a resolution. Even though it is impossible to confirm a condition and recommendation I would have to agree with recommendation of an alignment at 35,000 when replacing tires. As for as the opinion of the “certified tire dealer manager” determining the tire condition was a result of a lack of rotation, is totally incorrect. All tire manufacturers would agree that one tire wearing in the center could only be a result of that one tire being over-inflated with too much air. Over inflation is the only thing that will cause premature wear in the center of a tire. HAS24, You first came in on March 22nd to have a tail lamp replaced. It was during that visit the technician noticed the brakes were below 3mm and the rear tires were below 4/32. On April 9th you came into service and stated your concerns with a “scraping noise when braking” (thats metal to metal - no pad). It was not brought in “to have routine maintenance done” as you stated three times in your comment on the DealerRater review. Shelby was your the service advisor (female) and has never been perceived as “overly pushy”. Shelby gave you the quote over the phone and the quote included the tires you had asked about and some other items in addition to the brakes. So the billing was not just the brakes . . . it included tires and other things you needed/wanted done). You then came in on Tuesday and spoke with Bill (Service Manager) and Joel (Fixed Ops Director. Joel asked for an opportunity to inspect the brake rotors, since your mechanic’s recommendation was different from ours, and you were offered some type of compensation for your time. You said that you would have the vehicle back to us on Wednesday. You have yet to come in nor have you called either Joel or Bill. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
