The Mall of Georgia Ford Service Department should continue working to put the customer’s needs first, specifically when service advisors mishandle th The Mall of Georgia Ford Service Department should continue working to put the customer’s needs first, specifically when service advisors mishandle the requested service order made by the customer. In my case, there was obvious communication failures between service-advisors that lead to a missed opportunity in getting my 2008 Ford Explorer repaired correctly on the first attempt. Due to this significant internal communication failure, my SUV was not fully repaired and not ready when they said it was ready. I arrived to pick-up the vehicle just to discover that the SUV was only partially fixed which caused a major inconvenience during my day. Because of this extremely difficult experience, I am now looking to make a new SUV purchase in the coming months. Going forward, my future vehicle purchase will not be from a Ford Dealership, nor will it be a Ford or Lincoln Brand vehicle, which is hard for me to say, because I have always own Ford cars and SUVs over the past 38 years of my life. I guess all things must come to an end. However, my hope here is by sharing my experience with you, it will help the Ford Service Teams improve how they handle customer repair request in the future. Feel ripped off Took company van in to check out hard shift told needed 4500 transmission. Picked it up discovered they had not even checked the fluid level. Van smoothed out in a few days and is running fine. Never even thru a code or a check engine light. Called twice for managment and never got a call back Ripped off for diagnostic fee. Picked truck up and attempted to drive home, an error code flashed on dash- took vehicle to another shop only to find out that the problem was they unplugged a sensor. Would not recommend the service department. More

I had an issue with my rear window defroster, several gridlines were discolored and did not work at all. This is on my brand new F150 XLT. Brought it in for service and they told me that they had never s gridlines were discolored and did not work at all. This is on my brand new F150 XLT. Brought it in for service and they told me that they had never seen anything like that. Made me come back 3x for the same issue, never returning my calls and at the end the only thing that they did was giving me an email from the service manager with the statement that "removed grid lines are not warrantable". Jeez, why did I need to come back 3 times for this? I also don't understand why this would not be covered by the warranty since it must have had this issue from the moment I picked it up. This dealership never showed any interest in inspecting the origin of this issue let alone resolving it. More

Mine, like many others, quit working in less than three years but I happen to be over the 36,000 mile warranty. Obviously this is an item that is not a function of miles but rather time.. It is clear from the forums on the Internet that the 2016 modules had a defect and have been failing at extremely high rate. The dealers solution was to replace my defective one with a refurbished one for $1200. I had no confidence that the defective one wouldn’t fail in the next three years since a new one had. After looking on the Internet I found that I could get a new module for about $1200 or buy a refurbished one for less than 500. I went with a refurbished one for 429 and installed it myself. It took about 25 minutes. More
