Poor Purchase, Service, and Body Shop Experience I'm from MGM, AL and was looking for a 2 year old Corvette. MCH had the vehicle in a great color combo(Black/Black), so I called to inquire about a purchase. They stated that they had sent it to auction, but were willing to bring it back if I wanted it. I thought this was a great gesture of good will, put money down, and told them when I wanted to pick it up and they confirmed the pickup date. I ordered some accessories from parts and they were really cool with getting everything I wanted in. Great people working back there. From here on, the entire ownership experience turns into a nightmare before I even sign the paperwork. They were having ample trouble getting the car in, due to the poorly ran trucking company MCH uses. I was promised the car on Friday morning and drove 4 hours+ from MGM to get it. Got there and the car was no where to be found. They couldn't even get in touch with the trucker through the trucking company to find out where it was. They said the car should be there Saturday. Ended up driving to Atlanta to stay overnight and went back Saturday(2 hour drive each) to get the car. Got there and the car still wasn't there. Frustrated, I asked for a sales car to drive so I could go get lunch. They obliged and on my way out, my car pulled in. While signing the papers, the finance manger was incredibly rude throughout the entire process. Snide remarks, rudely aggressive, and just not a great person in general. Go to look at the car before signing final papers and I made a note about water on the driver's floor mat and the tires having low tread. I also heard a speaker making a rattling sound. I was told that it is normal for Vettes to have low tread and that, because it was raining, water got in from getting in and out. Signed the paperwork and finally took the car 4 hours away. Got home and took the car to get detailed the next day. My detailers noticed that the car had stress marks on the front bumper, meaning the bumper had been bumped. Stressing out, I called the dealership and told them my discovery, only to which they wanted to go half on fixing the bumper. I didn't think that was fair to purchase a high-end vehicle like this with a bumped bumper, but agreed and drove all the way back up to Augusta to get the work done. Before I made that drive, I had an appointment with my local dealership about that rattling speaker to be replaced under warranty. I took my car in while it was raining and still noticed water getting inside. Told my SA to look at it. Upon his analysis, he discovered the dealership sold the car with an incorrectly repaired aftermarket windshield that was leaking water all throughout the A-Pillars and doors. The foam composite around the speakers was soggy and that was causing the rattle. The speaker was replaced and it still rattled after a day due to the composite. He also told me that the tread on the tires WAS IN FACT too low, even for a Corvette. I talked to the GM about my unpleasant ownership experience and MCH agreed to replace the windshield, weatherstripping, and A-Pillar trim due to the leak. The fix is a 8/10 because the trim was not completely sealed upon re delivery. I also had my bumper fixed by the body shop while I was up there. The body shop seamed to have capable people who were friendly and the bumper looked great when I got the car back. When it came to the tires, though, the service dpmt has to be one of the worst out there. I was told me that the process will be as smooth as possible. I got a call later that day from him stating that they couldn't put the tires on because my wheels were in danger of breaking on there hardware if they attempted any further to remove the tires(I had standard 19 inch Corvette wheels by the way). He told me he would have to take the car to a specialist and get them put on and I said ok. I get the car back and the tires are on great, but I was quoted $100 at install and he charges me $120 saying that's what they charged him so he has to charge me that. I think that's shady and unprofessional because if you quote a customer that price, but can't do the work you said YOU would do, you should cover the cost it takes for someone to do the job you were tasked with. Upon getting in my car, whoever they took my car to left it in sports mode with over 20 miles added to the odometer. Seems like more than a complicated tire installation happened here, to me. The bumper ended up being painted with very thin paint and got ate apart by simple rock chips on I-85. Called the body shop to have, yet, another exasperating conversation with MCH. The manager stated that I put the ceramic coating protection on my vehicle too early and that the "spots" on my bumper were a white chemical reaction. I took the car to 4 local body shops and they all said it was rock chipping due to a faulty paint job. It was the last straw in a series of failures and I just decided to get rid of the vehicle. Besides parts, every section of MCH is awful. If they sold me a faulty Corvette, what's to say about their other inventory they are selling and fixing? If you want a Chevy, go somewhere else More

Th I have purchased a lot of cars in my lifetime. My wife and I went to Gordon and we were immediately aware of the friendliness in the showroom. The people we spoke with were not fake or patronizing. There was no pressure to buy, no gimmicks and nothing presented to us about the car that was not correct ( I am a car guy and I would have spotted it). The price of our car was noticeably less than the other Augusta Chevy dealer we had talked with. When we got down to the actual buying of our car, the there were no add-ons, no unexpected costs, no pressure to buy the "dealer doo-doo" items like upholstery protection etc. It was a very fair price for a great car. This car buying experience was actually enjoyable which I cannot say about previous purchases at other locations in years past. This a dealership of fair and honest, and genuinely friendly staff. I can recommend them 100% for anyone wanting to buy a car. More

I dropped my truck off at the dealership on the 16th of Feb to have a part replaced. I went to pick it up on the 22nd. I paid for the services and drove home. After pulling in to my driveway I noticed my G Feb to have a part replaced. I went to pick it up on the 22nd. I paid for the services and drove home. After pulling in to my driveway I noticed my GPS was gone. The stand still ther but the system and the charger were gone. I immediately called the dealership and spoke with Ken Robinson told him my problem and his response was his employees don't steal. Just flat out rude as if I wasn't a customer. My experience with Gordon Chevrolet was horrible and I wouldn't reccomend them to anyone.... More
