Fast, friendly non high pressure service. I went in to get my wife's truck serviced, since this has been the place to take her truck ever since we moved to Kansas from Arizona, and as I was waiting for he get my wife's truck serviced, since this has been the place to take her truck ever since we moved to Kansas from Arizona, and as I was waiting for her truck I took a look around the showroom floor. I found a car that caught my attention, the Chrysler 200S. Les then approached me and we started talking about options at which point I explained to him that my wife and I had been talking about trading in her truck for either a four wheel drive truck or a front wheel drive car, so Les and I started talking more about the 200S. I was pretty much already sold on the 200S but the more Les talked about the 200S and all its features really had me sold! I told Les that I would bring my wife out the next day so that she could look at the car but after hearing everything about what the car had to offer from Les I couldn't wait, so I surprised Les by going home to get my wife and returning that same day. Les then began to go through all the details with my wife, "poor guy had to sell the same car to the same family TWICE!", at that point my wife and I decided to fill out the paper work to get the ball rolling. Les then asked us how we wanted to go about doing the sell and we explained what we wanted to do and he was able to get us what we wanted without any hassle and we drove off in the the brand new 2012 CHRYSLER 200S, "my wife's early anniversary present!". Thanks to all the employees whom we have dealt with since moving to Kansas and especially to Les Anich, my family and I will undoubtedly continue to do business with SPEEDWAY! Again THANK YOU to all those at Speedway. Sincerely, Michael E. Palma More
I got the car I was looking for at a great price. The people were very easy to work with and gave no hassle regarding price. Would definitely go back or recommend them without hesitation. people were very easy to work with and gave no hassle regarding price. Would definitely go back or recommend them without hesitation. Came in on a Saturday afternoon about an hour and a half before they closed and when I got out of my car I wasn't immediately hunted down by 3 people who would follow me around as I looked at cars. That was before they closed and when I got out of my car I wasn't immediately hunted down by 3 people who would follow me around as I looked at cars. That was really nice since at most car dealerships you are pounced on before you even get out of your car. After looking around on my own for a bit I spoke to Brandon who checked on a car and took down my information so I could test drive a '09 Toyota Corolla and handed me over to Johnny when he had to take care of some other customers of his that had been there. Didn't feel pressured at all during the test drive. When I got back it was a very painless process to get a deal worked out. The drive side tire was pretty worn and there was a small crack in the lower windshield and I was able to get it fixed for a very reasonable price. It took a bit of time to get into the finance office since it was quite busy but I was kept up to date and they let me know the bank had approved me, which I was very worried about since my credit score wasn't stellar but they still got me a good deal that resulted in me only paying $1 more a month then I paid for my old car, which was older and not nearly as nice as my new one. When the bank asked for some more info that I wouldn't be able to get until Monday they let me have the car for the weekend since my old car had been totaled and I had to return my rental car. All in all a very painless and no pressure process. They even mailed me the paperwork to tag and register my car, saving me an extra trip there and the owner called to thank me for my business and Johnny called me a few times to make sure everything was going ok with me new car. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. More

I know mini-vans are kinda lame, but I’m going to have twins soon (in addition to my 1 year old daughter… what are you gonna do?). We really liked the vehicle and were disappointed to see the “Check Engine Light/Malfunction light” pop up before we even pulled into our garage. By this time it was past 8pm and they had already closed. I really didn’t think it was a big deal.. I checked the gas cap and anything else obvious I could think of. Friday June 25th I left a message for the Sales representative whom I thought was in charge of my deal. I was just curious if I could take the vehicle to a dealer closer to my home (would shorten a 45 minute drive). Monday, June 28h I left another message for the sales representative… Starting to feel a bit uneasy about getting this taken care of. Tuesday, June 29 By now I felt I should have heard back from the salesman. I called the main number to the dealer and had them forward me to the sales representative’s cel phone. This time he answered. He told me that he had passed the info on to his boss and they should have gotten back to me. He said he would schedule me an appointment with the service department. For Saturday July 3rd. He said it would have to be at their dealer and they don’t provide loaners… Ugg Not a fun place to spend 4th of July weekend. But it was my only choice. Thursday, July 1st. I decided to call the service department to make sure the sales guy really did book my appointment. 45 minutes is a bit far to drive for nothing. The service department knew nothing of my appointment. I booked a real appointment with them and they said that I would have to wait at least an hour to get it checked out and who knows how long to fix it. They said they wouldn’t have a loaner but I could use their shuttle to anywhere in town (where am I gonna go? McDonalds? LOL). I had the service department forward me to the operator and I asked for a manager. I wanted to tell them how my sales guy never called me back and how he had never booked my appointment as promised. I was connected with a manager who politely listened to my story and promised that he would meet me in the service department to expedite the process. At last! Someone seemed to care about my problem! Saturday, July 1st I arrived for my appointment on Saturday and the guy at the service desk seemed surprised to see me. He said he knew nothing of my appointment. He was polite and said that while he was the only person working he would try and take a look real quick. I was a little shocked that my appointment wasn’t scheduled, but whatever, as long as it’s getting looked at. (and where was the nice guy who was going to meet me in the service dept to make sure everything got taken care of?) After a few minutes of Nat Geo and a snicker bar in the waiting room, the service guy comes in and tells me that there is a problem with the vehicle. Normally it cost $230 (approx), but they would do it at the cost of the part $180. My blood pressure immediately shot through the roof. (Reminder: THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED BEFORE I EVEN GOT THE VEHICLE HOME!!!) It was also supposed to come with a pretty good 2,000 mile warranty. I flipped my lid and dropped a couple obscenities. I demanded to speak to someone in charge. We walked in to the showroom and met up with the guys who were in charge. I was still beside myself with anger. I shouted back and forth with one of them who seemed ready to match my anger every step. Thank goodness he stomped away and I was able to have a more calm and dignified discussion with one of the managers and the service dept guy. The problem with my vehicle wasn’t covered by their warranty (naturally). They seemed shocked why I seemed so angry. While I would think that anyone would understand that a vehicle should at least make it home before defecting, I also realized that they probably didn’t know of my unreturned phone calls and phantom service appointments. I filled them in and they agreed that they would be angry too. They said they couldn’t grant me a free part on a holiday weekend when no one was around, but that they would connect with me on Tuesday, July 6th. Tuesday, July 6th I am dreading this day. I will be traveling to Chicago this week on business and already have enough problems. I suupose I should keep an open mind that they will come though ans solve my problem... Still? Would you really want to do business here? More
While deployed to Iraq in 2007 I asked my wife to take my 2002 Dodge Dakota in to have the transmission serviced (flushed, filter change etc). I did not specify where to take the truck, and assumed that she 2002 Dodge Dakota in to have the transmission serviced (flushed, filter change etc). I did not specify where to take the truck, and assumed that she would take it to a local shop where we'd had work done before. Unfortunately she took it to Speedway Dodge in Lansing Kansas. The work was completed, but the shop informed her that they'd had an issue with a couple of stripped out bolts on the transmission pan. They stated that they had repaired three bolts by drilling out and rethreading the stripped bolt holes in the transmission. Now move ahead about eight months. After returning from Iraq, and prior to towing another vehicle with my 2002 Dodge Dakota I dropped the tranny pan to install a temperature sensor in the transmission. When I went to reinstall the pan I found three stripped bolt holes in the transmission. While I could get the pan to sit up against the transmission, I couldn't come anywhere near torquing it to factory specifications. So I ended up drilling and tapping the holes myself, which wasn't a big deal until my wife mentioned that the dealership had had to do that two three of the bolt holes too... Despite that experience with the dealership I went back to them in February of 2008 after being involved in a serious traffic accident that resulted in the total loss of my 2002 Dakota (great trucks!). After the accident I had the opportunity to research everything out there and decided on the newest model of the Dakota. Speedway just happened to have the truck I was looking for (TRX PKG) on the lot. The only other one in Kansas was a couple of hours away, so despite my previous experience I went down there and ended up buying the truck from them. The sales experience was fine, although I did ask them to put the truck up on a lift so I could inspect its undercarriage, and was shocked at how messy and unkept the shop area was. At any rate three months later my wife took the truck in to have its first oil change (free with coupons as part of negotiated service agreement). Now I'm a semi-professional photographer, and I always kept my camera kit in the truck so I'd have my camera if something came up. Usually I take it out if the trucks going to be unattended, but I didn't get to it before my dropped the truck off. Well when we picked up the truck the camera kit was gone. A police report was filed and the dealership was contacted. There response was to the effect that the technician who completed my oil change was a long time employee and could not have possibly stolen the camera. According to my wife the technician was a kid who looked like he was still in high school. I guess that's the sort of individual who serves as a model employee at speedway dodge. So in conclusion, I suppose the sales experience there was fine, but under no circumstance should anyone utilize the Speedway Dodge maintenance section. More
