Average rating for an average service center experience, which is what I observed during my visit. Like most places, I had to go into the advisor area to start the process. Coming out to greet me (since they need to collect mileage & other info, anyway) was my experience at “above average” service centers. Like most places, they offered WiFi, but it was down/unavailable. Like most places, they had a customer lounge with seating, TV & coffee/tea/etc. My experience at “above average” places included snacks and fresh Tim’s donuts and ice/water machine. And here’s the big problem; I went in for a leak, showing water stains along the rear edge of the headliner, plus a video of when it was wet, where it was coming from (obviously a loose wiring harness in the rear hatch/doorjam), etc. Before they even checked whether it was covered by warranty or provided even a ballpark estimate for any portion of the work, they wanted to charge me $200 for a “water test”, which was 1) totally unnecessary because the dislodged wiring harness was clearly the cause and 2) xxx, $200 to run water from a hose onto the roof?!?! I went into Maguire as a courtesy to THEM to offer them a chance to earn my business from my regular service center. They failed and I ended up back at my regular GM dealership service center. More
