I spoke with Chenai, and she was so helpful, She got me all the information I needed. We set up some time to meet and I met with David LLorente. He was so kind and took the time to show me features I did not even know the RAV 4 had. I will never go any where else. More

I had the pleasu From the moment I called in I was welcomed with not just a rehearsed speech but an actual person that was listening to what I wanted. I had the pleasure of working with David L. Apparently there are 2 Davids there. He was great. He helped me find exactly what I wanted and had me in and out of the dealership in under an hour. I have been working with David for years. He's the best. Mac Haik Toyota is the place to go if you're looking for a great experience without the runaround. More
Certified Pre Owned scam Wasted trip I was a cash buyer. Drove 90 miles to buy the car. Made an appointment to see a low mileage 2015 Venza that was “Cerified Pre Owned” , which is suppos I was a cash buyer. Drove 90 miles to buy the car. Made an appointment to see a low mileage 2015 Venza that was “Cerified Pre Owned” , which is supposed to mean it has had a 160 point inspection, and a great warranty. While looking at the car, I lifted the plastic engine cover. The engine valley had dozens of RAT TURDS laying in there. Obviously, the engine was never inspected. No matter, the warranty should cover any issue that comes up. Wrong! Read the fine print on the warranty brochure. Things like fuel pump, oil cooler, engine computer, fuel and oil lines are not covered. Fuel injectors are not listed as being covered. The whole inspection report, which they won’t give you unless you ask, is basically what any Firestone, or PEP boys does on a service check. Toyota doesn’t even check the transmission fluid. Certainly not worth the high price they demand for CPO. Oh and BTW, Mac Haik is now a non negotiation dealer. The asking price is it! Don’t waste your time. I would have given zero stars if I could. The only decent part was the salesman- Manny. He’s a gentleman. More
The old Bait and switch Inquired about a pre owned jeep they had and was told it was sold but was sent a link to a newer jeep and asked if I was interested.I then told him it Inquired about a pre owned jeep they had and was told it was sold but was sent a link to a newer jeep and asked if I was interested.I then told him it was a little more than what i was looking to spend and he told me " Its the end of the year,we can make something happen. I told them my wife would drive down from Baytown to look at it because i was on Grave yard shift and couldn't make it there until Friday. She went to look at Jeep and when she arrived she was told the keys were locked up and the guy who had the key to get them was gone for the day. When she inquired about the price (she inquired a couple times about price) and was told " don't worry about that right now.We will make something happen. (wasted trip number 1) 2 days later we went down to test drive the jeep was told salesmen was working with another couple finishing a sale so we waited until he was freed up. he then gave us the keys and we drove it. decent jeep at a good price, but when I was sent a pic of jeep and the link to the jeep all pics showed jeep to have all terrain tires 33" tires on black rims. this jeep had oem jeep rims and regular street tires. when I asked about it they said i would have to pay $3000 more to get the tires and rims. when I said that is not what the ad they sent me said. they stuck to their guns to try and milk 3k out of me for used tires. so we left,. 2 days later we get a call from customer service asking how our visit went.I told them We left pretty mad and in disbelief and told her the story of what happened she then said " let me talk to my manager and get to the bottom of the situation" and she would call me back. I then told her i was still open to buy the jeep if we could make an agreement, well.... its 2 days later and still no call. Jeep is off their site so I imagine it was sold to some other sucker. I would expect this kind of thing from a roadside pay by the week car lot but not a dealership like this. More

We were interested in a 2017 Nissan Murano with a trade-in of a 2017 Nissan Maxima, both with the Platinum trim level. We've bought and sold many vehicles over the years, and are well-aware of the deceptive practices that dealers employ. Mac Haik Toyota checked all the boxes during this transaction. For openers, they tacked on a $699 charge for "dealer-added items." Huh? We were talking about a used car, and not even a Toyota. Once we pointed it out, management was kind enough to remove it. With heightened suspicion, we moved on. As for my trade, all of the paperwork I brought with me, including valid offers from other dealers, showed a consistent $26k range. Their offer was considerably less (as expected), and as also anticipated, they tried to pull that "sales tax savings" gimmick to effectively lower it even further. This is an age-old sleight-of-hand, and most dealers employ it. Simply put, here's how it works ... Sales tax is calculated on the difference between the price of the new ride, minus your car's trade-in value. Selling your old vehicle outright (such as to CarMax, Texas Direct or Carvana) for its actual value, and purchasing the new vehicle without the "benefit" of the trade-in allowance results in a higher tax bill ... true. But sales tax should have absolutely nothing to do with any of it. Whether you sell or trade in your car, it has the same wholesale value. But dealers tend to lowball the trade-in offer, then add in the "savings on the sales tax" to bring the figure closer to what the customer would accept. This trickery ends up improving the dealer's bottom line, since you effectively wind up getting less than your vehicle's market value. Admittedly, it's a convincing tactic in the midst of negotiations, and can easily be lost in that mountain of paperwork you sign. It's yet another reason why many folks would rather undergo a root canal than shop for a new car. During our transaction, the dealer wouldn't budge on the price of the Murano, but all that seems inconsequential in the overall scheme of things. Needless to say, we left without even coming close to working a deal. This was a disappointing, though not totally unexpected, experience. I don't see us returning. More
Excellent Service Dept We didn't buy this Sienna from Mac Haik or Star so I was afraid the service would be poor but Ralph took very good care of the Safety Recall work and We didn't buy this Sienna from Mac Haik or Star so I was afraid the service would be poor but Ralph took very good care of the Safety Recall work and replaced a failed washer pump at reasonable cost. They even repaired rhodent damage to the hose at no extra cost. Toyotas don't require much service but when they do --- Mac Haik is a good place. We still drive a '95 Celica convertible and if Toyota ever builds it's equal we'll replace it from Mac Haiik. More

Mac Haik? xxxx NO!!! Checked website ahead of actually visiting this dealership for CERTIFIED pre-owned Camry sedans. Once there, Salesman showed me the "Certification" Checked website ahead of actually visiting this dealership for CERTIFIED pre-owned Camry sedans. Once there, Salesman showed me the "Certification" and (after I asked multiple times) admitted that the certification costs $800. and must be paid by the customer! (It's not part of the listed/asking price.) He said, and I quote: "The certification if for my (the customer's) benefit, so the dealership is not going to pay for it." Seriously?! How about "The Certification is a plus which entices potential customers to buy a used vehicle from a dealership rather than through a private party!" Mac Haik? xxxx NO!!!! As if this wasn't bad enough, when I was backing out to leave this rip-off joint, the salesman and is (I'm assuming) "Manager" banged twice on my window in an attempt to stop me! Who the xxxx do they think they are?! If I wanted to deal with them, I would have stayed and done so! I am now going to verify that any car I find on the internet which catches my interest is Certified and paid for by the dealership BEFORE I even set foot in their door! I suggest all those looking for a used car do the same... It's amazing how many games and hidden tactics to get our money these places pull- Do your homework and don't play it any way but YOUR way!
