Mac Haik Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram responded

The facts of the matter are that we do not place orders for custom vehicles without disclosing pricing up front to the customer. This is why we require a $2,000 non refundable deposit at the time of placing the order. The customer asked about Dell Employee Pricing but was informed we had suspended that program due to severe inventory shortages. The customer signed all documentation of pricing and how this vehicle was equipped .They understood it could not be altered. The customer then called around a week later and wanted to change the vehicle's configuration. We in good faith called our factory rep and tried to accommodate the customer's request. It was too late in the process and we were unsuccessful. As a reputable company we ordered another special order for this customer. Both vehicles were manufactured and delivered to the dealership. We called the customer to come to the store and take delivery of their ordered unit and they wanted to renegotiate. We lowered our initial price per the customer's request. The customer then had his brother call the dealership in an attempt to negotiate further. We now had two vehicles that we would have configured very differently in our inventory that were presented to the factory as sold orders. This caused business strife for us with the factory. You are not supposed to order a sold vehicle without a confirmed car deal. Sold orders are moved up in precedence concerning production because of limited production capacity. This customer came in and wanted us to lower the price that was agreed upon. We did exactly what we told this customer we would do and they didn't hold up to their end of the bargain. Mr. Cardosi is a great manager. He went above and beyond for this customer. The customer needs to take responsibility for presenting accurate information. The facts of the matter are the customer did not do what he said he was going to do, our organization did.
