I brought my MINI in with a bad ecu/dme (still under warranty). The service department tried to sell me on rebuilding my valvetronic system ($3,500) and pay for a new DME ($2,500), telling me they would warranty). I noped my car out of there to an independent mini specialist, replaced the DME with a refurbished unit and 1 fuze and 2 relays later my car is running again. More
