I have a 2018 Mini Cooper hardtop. I called Mini of Stevens Creek from San Diego and told them that the car had an coolant leak. They agreed to do a diagnoses of the coolant system for $299.99. My daughter who had the car in San Jose had it driven over by her friend to Mini of Stevens Creek on 12/17/2025. They did a Multi Point Inspection of the vehicle and provided their customary video on 12/18/2025. They found: 1. the battery needed replacement, estimated cost $817.77; 2. needed replacement of the front pads and rotors, estimated cost $1228.39; 3. needed replacement of the front control arms, estimated cost $3046.08; 4. Alignment, $239.95; 5. needed replacement of the oil filter housing assembly, estimated cost $3500; 6. needed replacement of the coolant pump, estimated cost $1608. On 12/18/2025, I called Fast Lane European which was three blocks down the street. I explained to them what was happening with Mini of Stevens Creek. In the end, they quoted me $2200 out the door which included taxes to replace the oil filter housing assembly. I also decided to replace the oil flange which was $200.00 more, totaling $2400 out the door. I asked my daughter to have the vehicle driven to Fast Lane European. Her friend paid the $299.99 to Mini of Stevens Creek and drove it there on 12/18/2025. While paying he explained that they were charging $2200 to fix the oil filter housing assembly at Fast Lane European repair. They immediately said they would match the charge. He said that they called him or texted him while he drove the 2018 mini cooper to Fast Lane European repair shop. Mini of Stevens Creek service advisor, Robert, also texted me that they would charge $2200 to fix the oil filter housing assembly. Fast Lane European also checked out everything Mini of Steven Creek wanted to replace. Everything else but the oil filter housing assembly was in good condition. Fast Lane European did an excellent job on the oil filter housing assembly and also detailed my mini for the $2400 charge. My daughter and her friend drove my mini from San Jose to San Diego around 460 miles on 12/20/2025. No problems. I took my 2018 mini cooper to Mini of San Diego for an oil change and their 25 point multi point inspection which included there normal video. They gave the 2018 mini cooper a full inspection. Mini of San Diego's video showed the mechanic actually measuring the things like pads and rotors, i.e. front pads at 6 mm and back pads at 8 mm. Mini of Stevens Creek video did not show the mechanic measuring the front pads. He merely stated the front pads were at 4 mm. Mini of San Diego gave my mini a 100 % perfect score. Everything was in perfect order and the oil filter housing assembly was not leaking. In fact, nothing was leaking including the coolant pump. The battery was fine, the brakes and rotor was fine, the coolant pump did not leak, in fact, nothing was leaking including the front control arms bushings. My opinion is do not trust Mini of Steven Creek dealership. Just go three blocks down the street and get excellent service and reasonable cost of repairs. If I could give less than 1 star for Mini of Stevens Creek, I would. I would not trust them. They wanted to over charge me approximately $8000 for service not needed. More

although the customer service people werent interested or helpful, i spoke to Blake who was very helpful and patient, helping me get the services done. This was by far the worst car buying experience I have ever had. The worst - no customer service hard sell and a finance manager who was without understanding or sincerity.
