I was shocked at my experience dealing with Sewell. I've always heard great things about their dealerships. They were extreamly backwards with the paperwork and they are still contacting us trying to get p always heard great things about their dealerships. They were extreamly backwards with the paperwork and they are still contacting us trying to get paperwork after the sale was completed 3 weeks ago. They would never talk pricing and seemed to have no process in place. It was like they've never sold a car before. At one point they even transfered the car off the lot while we were trying to purchase the vehicle. I would never recommend them and will never do business with them again. Their communication is poor and their follow up in awful unless they need something from you. More
A never ending nightmare. I have nothing good to say about my experience at Sewell Mini of Plano except the salesman were moderately friendly. But friendly does not mean professional. We found the car we wanted to buy, and the salesman would get up and disappear for 30 mins, and leave us just sitting at his desk. We asked about the price of the car, and he didn't have an answer. We sat there that sat for 4 hours, until they closed,and didn't get one straight answer, having to wait till the following Monday to discuss more. However we got passed from salesman to salesman, all of which had different answers to our questions. There was no communication between them obviously. Very very frustrating. Weeks pass, hours and hours on the phone, being passed around, and it was impossible to get a call back from any of the 3 salesman, then we are told the car was gone!! GONE?? First we were told it was sold at an auction. Then I was told it was sent to another dealership. Then we were told it was still there, just moved off the lot. Which one is it??? The car WAS there after all...finally we finalized the paperwork, and drove the car home. But since then, my husband and I get repeated text messages from one of the salesmen asking for different documents. Its borderline harassment. Why wasn't this addressed before? When is it going to end? Why wouldn't they contact us back when we called them? Honestly I can keep going on how unprofessional everyone was and what a nightmare this experience has been. I wouldn't recommend anyone buy there. More
This is an awesome dealership. Jarrod Crawford was my sales person. He is very professional. Best of all, when I showed up, the paper work and car was ready to go. I can honestly say I never expected to be so impressed with a car dealership. I abhor the entire car buying process. However, Sewell MINI of Plano has earned our business for life. We purchased a used with a car dealership. I abhor the entire car buying process. However, Sewell MINI of Plano has earned our business for life. We purchased a used MINI Cooper S. As Jarrod Crawford, our amazing sale rep stated, it is easy to have a happy customer when everything goes smoothly - a happy customer when things don't go smoothly really makes a statement. We had a few minor (but very difficult to identify) maintenance issues soon after we bought the car. Sewell went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable with our purchase and that the vehicle was repaired to OUR standards - regardless of how long it took. This is particularly impressive given that we bought a used car, so they did not make a ton of money on the sale. But, they will - we will purchase every vehicle from a Sewell dealership going forward. I think we would be hard pressed to find this kind of customer service anywhere else. More
Very kind managers and employees at Mini Cooper. Fixed the problem quickly and made quick and easy efforts to contact me and help solve things. Initially I thought the diagnoses was false on their part when it was not, except for one thing that they immediately attempted to resolve. They were helpful and respectful the entire time and especially extra courteous with my cool convertible rental ;-) I am very happy with the way they handled the situation. More
I recently stopped by this dealership to check out the new mini and was very impressed with the young man who helped me. He seemed to know quite a bit about the car and he didn't try to pressure me in an new mini and was very impressed with the young man who helped me. He seemed to know quite a bit about the car and he didn't try to pressure me in any way. Even though I told him I wasn't going to buy one just yet he spent 30 minutes answering my questions and gave me some really good reasons why I should buy one. I could see he was busy but he still made me feel like I was his most important customer. I live in Houston and planned to buy my car there but when I am ready, I plan to go back to Dallas. Although the salesmen here know things about the car, this young man knew things I didn't even think about asking. Clearly, this dealership trains it's people well. More
When choosing who to do business with, we should choose businesses who hire people of good character. I strongly believe in the character of those employed at Sewell of Plano. My vehicle stalled and died on my way to work and people were driving by for over ten minutes. Finally one gentleman stopped and attempted to jump my car. The jump would not take and the battery cables started smoking. That man had to get to work and there was nothing he could do for me, so he left. I don't know anyone at all in or near the area I broke down, so had nobody to call for help. As a single mom working in a daycare center where our hours have been drastically cut, I don't have money for AAA or anything. I was stranded in the middle lane just past an intersection with noplace to push the car off the roadway if I could have managed this by myself. The first gentleman had been gone about five to ten minutes and people just kept on driving by. I was still unable to find anyone to come help me and was in tears. Along came Chad from Sewell of Plano asking if I needed help. Boy, did I!! Shortly after he stopped, along came two other people from Sewell of Plano...Jon and Clint. These three were sent from God. They spent a good 45 minutes of their morning helping me. They pushed my car into the turn lane, tried to jump the car with a jump box...only to achieve sparks, Chad went back to the shop and brought a truck and tow strap and these guys pulled my car into a parking lot to get it off the street and then gave me a ride to work. Saying "thank you" seemed so insufficient for all they did to help me that morning. I am so grateful for their help and willingness to stop and help in such a huge way and ask nothing in return...even in the heat we have been experiencing. They are truly good people with amazing heart and character. Take your business to Sewell of Plano...they have earned it!! More
