This is a top notch dealership! My salesman, Karen ("KArin") Klias was polite, positive and accomodating, but not overbearing. The car involved, a Saturn Sky was in beautiful condit My salesman, Karen ("KArin") Klias was polite, positive and accomodating, but not overbearing. The car involved, a Saturn Sky was in beautiful condition but had an open recall (minor). I negotiated a slight price reduction with the agreement that I would take care of the recall. When I arrived at the dealership 4 days later he told me that they had taken the car to a Chevrolet dealership and had taken care of the recall. Karen never left me hanging when I texted him with a question and I never experienced a delay or doubt. I live 5 hours away so a hotel stay was necessary and a delay or postponement could have been very unfortunate. Everyone we met at the dealership was friendly, smiling and very positive. We live a fair way from the dealership and our salesman James went out of his way to get everything ready for us remotely. I have been a loyal MINI owner for many years and have always loved the MINI brand. This experience has been incredibly disappointing because it started as something special for our family. I originally visited the dealership to have my 2019 MINI Cooper S serviced. While waiting, I noticed a beautiful 2019 MINI John Cooper Works Convertible on the showroom floor. My husband had recently achieved a significant career milestone, and I thought surprising him with this car would be the perfect way to celebrate. We already owned a 2016 Caribbean Blue MINI Convertible, and finding another Caribbean Blue JCW Convertible—a rare color and model—felt like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It checked every box we had been looking for. Because I had previously purchased a vehicle from this dealership, I trusted them completely and handled the purchase on my own. What the dealership never knew is that driving an hour and a half each way is physically difficult for me because of ongoing medical conditions. I made the trip anyway because I believed I was working with a dealership that valued honesty and long-term customer relationships. Within one day of purchasing the vehicle, I discovered that the driver's side adaptive LED headlight was significantly dimmer than the passenger side and immediately contacted the dealership. Rather than working with me to resolve what I believed was a safety concern, I was repeatedly told that I had purchased a seven-year-old vehicle "as-is." I was also told the vehicle's price supposedly reflected the defective headlight, despite that defect never being disclosed before or during the sale. The most disappointing part of this experience was my conversation with the General Manager. Instead of acknowledging my concerns or the fact that I reported the issue immediately after the purchase, I felt dismissed. His response left me feeling that I was being blamed for expecting a vehicle represented as having passed Maryland's safety inspection to be free of undisclosed safety-related defects. The vehicle is now at another repair facility, where I am facing a repair estimate of more than **$4,600** for the adaptive LED headlight assembly. This wasn't just another used car purchase for us. It was meant to celebrate an important milestone in my husband's life and become the next chapter in our family's love for the MINI brand. Instead, it has become weeks of stress, uncertainty, long drives, phone calls, and unexpected expenses. Used vehicles naturally have wear and tear, and I understand that. What I cannot understand is why such a significant and expensive safety-related defect was not disclosed before the sale and why, after reporting it almost immediately, I was met with defensiveness instead of a willingness to make things right. I sincerely hope the dealership reconsiders how it handles situations like this in the future. Great customer service is not measured by how a sale is made, but by how customers are treated when something goes wrong. More
