Unethical, dishonest, lack of integrity, fradulent I settled a deal for a car sale through Jon Boroom for a $44,000 car. Through communication and quotes I was confirmed about the sale, asked to provide a credit card to put a hold on the car with $2000. The credit card information was provided promptly also. The next day I was again confirmed about the transaction, congratulated on my purchase and asked to wire the money to the dealership ( Fields Infiniti). I was provided a quote described as the Bill of sale by the dealership also (Under the manager name John David and Jon Boroom). As per the instructions I wired the money to the dealership account. After receiving a confirmation with a tracking number about the payment wired to the company account, the dealership now stopped communicating. On my repeated inquiries , I was told that the dealership sold the car an hour ago to a person who walked into the dealership. The salesman though apologetic about the poor business practice and explained that the decision to sell off the same car to two customers was made by his superior (used car manager) in consultation and approval of the general manager also. I asked about wiring the money back which was refused as they will only send a cheque through mail. The cheque did arrive but took 12 business days to clear also. The work ethics of the dealership is poor where if the car doesn't sell, the dealership will sell off their integrity,trust and honesty. I would have thought that this would be categorized as wire fraud vs double dipping? also. If nothing else, this equates to unethical business practice. More

They are located in a very affluent neighborhood and are apparently used to people coming in and just writing checks for whatever they are asking. Do your research is all I'm saying. More
Good Ending I recently purchased a used vehicle from Fields Infinity. First the bad news...On the way home with my car, multiple service lights appeared on in the dash. I returned the car to the lot, expecting the typical "it was fine when it left" treatment, as it was a used vehicle with no warranty. I had come from over 100 miles away to purchase the vehicle and had no way home with the purchased vehicle's problems. It was also late on a Saturday afternoon and there was no way to resolve the problem before the next week. Sam Badro and the team were very understanding the proactive in taking care of me. Sam repeatedly assured me that Fields would make it right. They provided me a 10 year newer loaner vehicle (Infinity Q50!-very nice!) to drive home while they resolved the issue. Over the course of the next week, they repaired my vehicle at their expense and met me halfway to exchange vehicles. In short, Sam and the Fields team exceeded my expectations and fully followed through on their commitments. Having worked in the purchasing profession for 25 years, I know good customer service when I see it. What could have been a nightmare, was turned into a story of how some companies still do value their customers and do the right thing. Keep in mind, I wasn't even buying a new, or expensive car, but they never made me feel like that made a difference. I have spread the news of my experience to friends and family and greatly appreciate the support I received. More

He said he went out and checked on it himself and there was absolutely no odor whatsoever. So I drove 4 hours to the dealership with my wife and kids to the dealership. As soon as we opened the door the strong smoke smell was easily apparent. He tried to talk his way out of it and said that he couldn't smell it, but there is no other way to put it than he lied, and he knew he lied just to get us to the dealership. Do NOT take your business to any place that would allow their employee to lie like that!!! More

A great experience depends on a great dealership…. We have now just bought our third new car from the Fields dealership in Glencoe. When you find a wonderful dealership you just want to keep going back….. Jon Hale, the salesman who helped us to purchase our latest Infiniti (QX60), has been in contact with us regularly since the end of last year when we first mentioned that we were going to trade in our QX56 for the QX60. We decided to wait until the weather improved before buying a new car - obviously we didn't know it was going to be one of the worst Chicago winters on record! Once we made the decision to buy Jon made the whole process very smooth for us. Along with his other colleagues at Fields we found the whole experience very professional. We would not hesitate to send anyone to Fields for a variety of cars especially if all the salespeople are like Jon - which they are! Also, today, I have just received a thank you tin of Fields cookies - what more could I ask for?! More
