While the sales process and the car are well above expectations- I am very disappointed with the service department, more in the lack of transparency, the ability to clearly answer questions, and desi expectations- I am very disappointed with the service department, more in the lack of transparency, the ability to clearly answer questions, and desire to upswell at all costs. As an auto enthusiast, I have to say that this is the first premium brand dealership I am hesitant about having my car serviced at. More

It's quite efficient, and the staff is very proficient and professional. Their devotion-to-details is greatly appreciated. Nevertheless, there's an apparent - and somewhat abhorrent - management order in-place, pressuring staff to hard-sell heavily rules-based services (mostly to benefit MINI; not so much, for clients), such as, the extended service contract. CASE-IN-POINT: My MINI-Dealer Service took place on Thursday Sept. 23, 2021. So, in advance of my MINI-service appointment, on Friday, Sept. 17th, 2021, I took my car to TOWN-FAIR Tire Co. In Danbury, CT & purchased two new front tires and did a tire-rotation, along with a full breaks/linings/sensors inspection. They rated all of my breaks with "8s" - a full clean bill of health. Yet six-days later, MINI's technician ranked my front breaks (showing two matching brand new tires), with an "8s", but oddly rated both rear breaks with only "4s", requiring service (one of my rear tires is 5-months old, without much driving. I just barely broke 26K miles on the odometer, prior to my MINI service appointment), indicating a need to spend either $600 for an unspecified break restoration, or a similar amount for a MINI-Service Contract Extension. This didn't sit well, with me, and didn't make sense. I understand that these are tough times for all, and for dealerships, but this approach goes too far. More
