We arrived on time at 10:00 and John greeted us made us welcome. The car arrived from across the street and a few minutes later and my anticipation of owning a Jaguar quickly faded as I looked over the car. Here are my notes and impressions from that morning. Car was not detailed to any standards that I know of, although the tires did have a large amount of tire shine sprayed on them. There were cob webs in the windshield and on the dashboard Dust and pollen all over the console and interior, gages, instruments etc. Car smelled of mold Candy wrappers in the back seat and misc. paper pieces. Carpets in back and under floor paper/ floor mats dirty and sandy. Windows cloudy and dirty. On the walk around and electrical checks of the car I found Both headlights filled with standing water 1/2 inch in right lens leaked out on the test drive to 1/4 inch. Passenger side marker light loose and hanging out Right headlight didn't work (although I did hit it and it came on for a few seconds. A/C system needs charging blew hot air with coldest settings selected Drivers seat back won't recline or move at all motor just grinds Hand break won't hold car with transmission in drive position Drivers door window molding (rubber) and top door panel (leather) loose and moves with window movement Drivers door speaker fell off and won't install properly Trunk space very dirty Test Drive of the car At 20 mph very noticeable wobble from the front end. Either the right front tire is out of balance or possible bad ball joint (front end issue) either way couldn't experience the ride. (we discussed having balanced tires for trip back to NH) Got a DSC system fault indicator after having driven it for 30 minutes and idling for 15 mins. After 15 minute parked in idle checking lights etc, 4" round oil stain left on ground oil running back on under carriage. From 50 mph hands off hard breaking car veered to the right (either needs alignment / or a brake pulling) we discussed having an alignment for trip back to NH? Danny it was a very discouraging experience after having discussed the car and my expectations on several occasions with you. Not having it ready aesthetically from the beginning is bad enough and could have been overlooked but the unbalanced tires (?) or alignment, and possible front end issue was the real show stopper for me. The Drivers seat back not working, the flooded headlights , and an A/C recharge if they had been offered to be fixed / corrected could have sealed the deal however combined with the front end issues made it a no go for me. Most importantly John informed me the shop closed at 1:00 p.m. so there was no chance of getting anything taken care of even if we had decided to purchase it. I am sorry I couldn't have met you and that I didn't have a chance to experience your exceptional service that you had noted in several of our discussions " ... I am looking forward to meeting you and exceeding your expectations by the service that I provide." I guess at my age I need to remember the old adage "Buyer be Ware!" TOM More
My Lexus was sold by Justin, and on my first visit to the lot Bill was there so I worked with both of them. Justin and Bill were both very positive and customer friendly. My vehicle is in tip top shape and considering its condition I believe Justin negotiated a fair price. Picking up the vehicle really did take only about 10 minutes as Justin had promised. He had everything ready and organized. From speaking with Justin, I get the sense he's very experienced in this business, and it appears he and Bill both enjoy what they are doing, which is important. I didn't get any dealer xx from these guys on any subject, which is refreshing. Also, regarding the dealership, I was looking for a good deal on a used suv in good condition and with some nice features like leather, etc. Having been to a lot of dealers, I was struck that MB Motorsports' SUV lot kind of looked like an exact collection of what I wanted to see. Across all the models they seemed to have a good selection all in good condition. If I hadn't purchased the Lexus, they had a few others I would consider, and the selection made it very easy for me to compare and feel comfortable I had made the right choice. I've noticed almost all the reviews for Justin and MB are very positive and I think that is reflective of my experience. More
My car buying experience from initial call to Justin, to the 'signing ceremony' was exceptional. My credit wasn't the greatest, but Justin was quite knowledgable about issues regarding securing my loan via the 'signing ceremony' was exceptional. I went to MB Motorsports after two days after a pretty traumatic car accident fully expecting to leave frustrated and disappointed as I had with two other local dealers. After doing a little bit of research on AutoTrader, I had an idea of what might be on the lot. Justin handed me the keys to three vehicles and told me to tell him when I wanted to take one for a drive. That was it. No nagging. No sales pitch. No "big action" on Car X that I wasn't interested in. No pressure at all. I looked at four vehicles and drove two. Took home a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. Justin was extremely helpful when I had questions, but didn't go overboard by hanging around and putting on the pressure to make a sale. The price and condition of the vehicle was also far superior to the other cars I'd driven at other dealers. MB seems to care greatly about their customer service and presentation. I have already suggested them to various friends and family. Couldn't be happier. More
We went to MB Motorsports to look at a car advertised on Craigslist. After visiting their website and looking at the carfax (which is available on all their vehicles for viewing via their website). We talked for a while and answered all my questions. Knowing we we're coming from Philadelphia he setup a appointment for us pretty late in the day. When we showed up the car was upfront waiting for us. We talked for maybe 5-10 minutes and he left us alone with the car to test drive which was great. We fully expected the hard sell with him riding in the backseat. Instead he gave us room to drive and inspect the car before approaching us again. The paperwork process was smooth but lengthy (it took about an hour). Bill gave us a few local recommendations for dinner and we left. Pros: -The car was as advertised. -The car was fully serviced before sale. Oil change, transmission flush, radiation flush, tires rotated, spark plugs replace, etc... (I don't know if this was done by the previous owner or by MB Motorsports but it was a nice bonus.) -Car passed PA inspection and ford dealership inspection without any issues and haven't had any issues since purchase. -The car was reasonably priced. Well below the larger dealership prices and on par with private sale prices. -The car came with 3 month power-tran warranty. However, we upgraded and purchased 2 year 24K warranty. -Bill and the rest of the staff was friendly, honest, and communicative. -The dealership takes care of all the paperwork and DMV registration. Cons: -Transfer of title & registration from NJ to PA is a pain. If you buy a car in New Jersey here or any other NJ dealership expect to wait pass the 20 day temporary registration. It took 23 days for us to receive the registration and plate from PennDOT. If you have offstreet parking it's not a big deal but if you're like us and live in Philadelphia and park on the street I would arrange a place to keep your car ahead of time to avoid getting towed. More
I recently purchased my RX330 from Justin at MB. I am an out-of-state buyer, so I entered the deal with your typical concerns (am I really getting what I see in the pictures, what isn't descibed about the c out-of-state buyer, so I entered the deal with your typical concerns (am I really getting what I see in the pictures, what isn't descibed about the car, etc.). Those fears didn't last. Justin answered all of my requests and questions quickly and thoroughly. He even took a video walk-around of the car so I could see the angles not already shown in the 45 images they had posted online already. I had never purhcased a car from out-of-state, but I would do it again in a heart beat. The longest part of the process was getting the car registered with NY plates. I big "THANK YOU" again to Justin for working out all the logistics. I would highly recommend MB to anyone looking for a vehicle. You can't beat their prices & customer service! More

Was looking for small pickup truck and found this vehicle on the Internet. Contacted Justin and he followed up by sending the photos I requested. A little apprehensive about buying a used vehicle this far aw on the Internet. Contacted Justin and he followed up by sending the photos I requested. A little apprehensive about buying a used vehicle this far away but it worked out very well. Vehicle was detailed and in the condition he described.
