HORRIBLE SERVICE DEPARTMENT I go in for an oil change to be told that a motor mount is about to give out and urgent that I change it. I agree and have them change my motor mount I go in for an oil change to be told that a motor mount is about to give out and urgent that I change it. I agree and have them change my motor mount for about $450.00 dollars. The car stays the weekend and Monday I receive a call that my car is ready. I am unable to pick it up to I send my 7 month pregnant wife with my 2 year old. She takes the car home to tell me that car feels broken. I drive it just to hear an awful noise engine rocking noise and awful driving experience. Did they not test drive it? Anyone would have felt the car broken. Plus there was grease on the bottom of the driver panel and the weather strip was ripped. I took it back the following day to later receive another call that a second motor mount completely broke. WHAT? How is that possible when I had no issues to begin with, and that the weather to be told that the weather strip was already ripped? Leaving me with no options I agree to change the second motor mount for $250 as I had already paid $371 just for labor. The following day I receive a call that my car is ready. Was the car tested? I asked. No she was going to have the shop manager test drive it. WHY WASN'T THIS DONE ALREADY? At this point I am over this experience and regret ever taking my vehicle to this place. Now the rocking sound is gone, however the shocks need to be replaced. I left having to now deal with shocks and a ripped weather strip. I would rate this place NEGATIVE and angry as to why they would let my pregnant wife with my 2 year old leave the lot with a broken car to begin with. More
Worst Service department Little story of my first experience with MK Smith Chevrolet's service department. On 12/30/2015, I had previously scheduled(12/29) my new 2015 Cama Little story of my first experience with MK Smith Chevrolet's service department. On 12/30/2015, I had previously scheduled(12/29) my new 2015 Camaro SS in for its first oil change at 8am. I brought it in at 7:55am and understandably being the week before a holiday weekend the service department was very busy. I waited a couple of minutes for a service person to help me and then service adviser Howard began to help me. We proceeded to his station and he inputted all of my information and let me know it would be 2-3 hours for the oil change to be completed. I let him know that would be fine, but I needed to be to work 3 miles up the street and would be needing a ride in the shuttle. I also advised the person who scheduled the appointment the day before of this as well, and they both said it would be quick and no problem. I was advised to wait across in the customer waiting area and the shuttle would be back promptly. In a nutshell it was over 1 hour and 45 minutes until the shuttle arrived, another driver arrived in a car and took a couple of customers away who had arrived at least an hour after me. I kept asking different service advisers what was going on and they just kept saying it was a hectic morning. Finally the shuttle driver arrived, I approached the driver and was told by her that she had to go to Upland to drop someone off and I needed to wait for another driver! I had asked to speak to the service manager on several occasions and the advisers kept saying they would take care of me. I was fed up at that point and needed to be at work, I asked to have my keys back and would take my own car(as it had not moved from its parking space in 2 hours). Finally, one of the advisers(who name I did not get) said he was trying to find a car to take me to work.....I pulled my spare key out of my pocket and told them they could drop me off in my own car at work, which we did. I did not arrive to work until 10:15am. This whole process was completely unacceptable. They all apologized to me and even the driver mentioned that "they would do something to make it up to me". I received a phone call around 1pm from Howard stating that the car was ready and he again apologized for the long wait to get to work. When I arrived, I went to the cashier got my receipt and then I waited an additional 15 minutes for them to bring my car and keys to me, with no mention of this debacle. I've called and asked to speak to the Service manager, emailed and even asked they contact me through their website....and NOTHING. Never again with these guys...such a shame More

They lied to me and ruined our vacation I called the dealership and spoke to a service manager and set it up to have an ac inverter replaced on my 2014 truck while on vacation, I called 5 da I called the dealership and spoke to a service manager and set it up to have an ac inverter replaced on my 2014 truck while on vacation, I called 5 days in advance and when asked was told yes they will get it fixed that day, I also gave them my credit card number so they could set aside all the parts and verified they had everything to complete the job so there would be no issue since we were from Oklahoma and on vacation and we needed this to work on our camping vacation in the Redwoods. I showed up exactly when they told me to be there and parked in the service lane (one of 3 lanes), My son and I were the only people outside so we sit down right beside the lanes waiting for someone to help us. A service guy looks right at us and comes out just as a woman drives up so he helps her and spends 20 minutes helping her with her auto, as soon as they are done another female drives up and the same service guy helps her, we had been waiting 40 minutes to be helped for our appointment. Finally a woman comes out and says they have too many vehicles in front of ours and we will have to leave it till Monday, the next week. I asked for the manager and tell him of the situation and that I was told 5 days ago they'd get it in and out having it fixed same day as our appointment, I was told that the service guy came out 2 times and couldn't find us, he surely seen us drive up right in front of him, he looked right at us, we were the only people around and just a few feet right in front of him and every time he came out I stood up and walked towards him, there was no need to be dishonest about it, when the female service person walked out she seen us as there is no way possible to miss the only people around right there in front of you. The female went from saying leave it till Monday to after I complained to the manager to saying it would take 5-6 hours because they had so many others in front of us to fix, I knew from what they had told me when I made the appointment they would only be open for another 4 hours so I decided they were still being dishonest with me and I had enough already. I didn't take my son camping in the Redwoods and we headed back to Oklahoma. There were only 2 Chevrolet dealers between where I called in Colorado and the Redwoods that had this part in stock and I chose the wrong one to set up an appointment to have the defective part replaced. They let me down and 2 of the people in charge of service lied to me and the guy out on the service line lied to his manager. Come to where I purchased my truck and you'll see there is a major difference in excellent service and lousy dishonest service I was given at MK Smith. More
I was traveling thru California while moving to my new military duty station when I noticed a great deal of fluid inside my left front tire well, but nothing inside my engine compartment so I did not know military duty station when I noticed a great deal of fluid inside my left front tire well, but nothing inside my engine compartment so I did not know where the fluid was coming from. I took my vehicle to MK Chevy to determine what the problem was. The service rep called me and informed me that the Hydro-booster was leaking and the repair would cost $1095 for repair. I instructed him to repair the part. After leaving CA and driving to El Paso, TX, the same fluids were inside my tire well again. I took my vehicle to Mission Chevy dealer in El Paso, who showed me where the fluid was coming from and that it was not a leak at all, but a function of the Vent tube that was located next to the opening of the front left tire well. I explained to him that I paid to have the hydro-booster replaced to solve this leak and the expression on his face said it all as he showed me the location of the hydro-booster and the very unlikely probability for the fluids in the tire well to come from that part without some signs of fluids in the engine compartment, on the firewall, or the hood. He corrected the channeling of the tube and placed a filter on the vent tube as a solution from the fluids from gathering in the tire well, however, this was a natural process for the vehicle and nothing was broken. I have had no sign of fluid in my tire well after the Mission Chevy dealer did the right thing. I attempted to get MK Chevy Asst Manager, Brian Pfapp to admit that the part did not need to be replaced. However, he refused to admit that if the hydro-booster part which is located on the upper back left side of the engine compartment next to the firewall was leaking that there would have been some sign of fluids in the engine compartment or on the hood due the air blowing the fluids around. They refuse to admit any wrong doing or that the part was not required to be changed. The service department took me for $1095 for a repair that did not correct the problem. The GM Customer Service was not helpful at all in assisting me get my money back. The dealership Manager has failed to return a call to me after he was supposed to check into the unnecessary repairs. I would not trust this dealership again or recommend it to anyone. if they would take advantage of a service member, they would take advantage of anyone. More
