BUYER BEWARE! In the summer of 2009 I purchased a brand new Nissan Altima from Lynnes Nissan, in Bloomfield, NJ. I spent a total of $36,000 that day and purchased gap insurance for the vehicle. I was told new Nissan Altima from Lynnes Nissan, in Bloomfield, NJ. I spent a total of $36,000 that day and purchased gap insurance for the vehicle. I was told that I would be able to cancel the insurance at any time, and the contract I signed that day reflects the same. On August 31, 2010, I returned to the dealership to cancel said insurance. I met with Victor from Finance and we filled out the necessary paperwork. As of today, Lynnes has yet to refund said insurance. I have been to the dealership in person and made various calls to the dealership and nothing seems to work. They are holding on to my money (which is worth a few hundred dollars) for over six months. I was at Lynnes Nissan in Bloomfield this past Saturday and the whole place was pretty crowded!! They seem to get a lot of business or maybe it was just because it was the last day of the month (??). When and the whole place was pretty crowded!! They seem to get a lot of business or maybe it was just because it was the last day of the month (??). When I entered the dealership I was greeted by one of the friendly receptionists sitting at the desk who asked, with a big smile, if she could assist me. I informed her I was interested in a new Nissan Maxima. After about 5 minutes Jay Cheek came out and introduced himself as the sales manager and informed me that they were a bit short-handed and asked me to be patient while a sales rep became availabe. He also offered my wife and I a cup of coffee (makes terrible coffee, but very pleasant guy).. Another 10 minutes later Jay came out again and said he would personally assist my wife and I being that the sales reps were still tied up. Jay gave my wife and I jaw-dropping numbers! He offered us every incentive possible and placed us with one of the finance managers, Sam, who worked with us in every way possible. My wife and I are ecstatic with our new Maxima and let everyone know about our experience with Lynnes. We will gladly purchase with them again! More
Buyer beware! I went to purchase a Nissan Altima and negotiated an out the door price with the service manager Jay Cheek (seems like a nice guy, but BEWARE!). Jay informed 'Eddy' (our clueless but nice negotiated an out the door price with the service manager Jay Cheek (seems like a nice guy, but BEWARE!). Jay informed 'Eddy' (our clueless but nice salesman) to begin the documentation process. Eddy begin the paperwork and asked me to sign. First of all, he had the VIN number of a vehicle we were going to purchase different from the VIN number on the documentation. Make sure you read the documents carefully and verify the VIN numbers! He prepared a different set of documents with the correct VIN number this time. I signed the documents, and Eddy took it to Jay (the service manager) to sign. Jay comes out and says this wasn't the price we agreed on (this is after making clear what the OTD price was and he shook my hand). So just be careful that after wasting 2 to 4 hours of your life, thinking that you are buying the car that you want for the price you agreed on - all that can change in the matter of minutes at the end! Horrible experience, I do not recommend. More
I decided to get a new car after my old car broke down last week. I looked online for Nissan dealerships in my area and stumbled upon Lynne's. I decided to stop in and look around. It was a Saturday af last week. I looked online for Nissan dealerships in my area and stumbled upon Lynne's. I decided to stop in and look around. It was a Saturday afternoon so it was a really busy. Michael was working with another customer but he briefly asked me what I was looking for and asked Tony to show me around a little. Tony was really helpful and answered all my questions. By the time I got back inside with Tony, Michael was available to help me. I was really impressed with the service they provided me and with the deal I got on the car I wanted. I would highly recommend. More
Made an appointment to look at a specific used car for Friday morning and drove 1.5hours through traffic to see the car. Monica and Sharon sounded very professional on the phone. Arrived for the appoin Friday morning and drove 1.5hours through traffic to see the car. Monica and Sharon sounded very professional on the phone. Arrived for the appointment and was told by the used car manager that the car was sold day before! No phone call from the dealership at all to warn me. On top of that the used car manager had the AUDACITY to claim that I was told on the phone to leave a deposit to hold the car and that I refused- this was a blatant boldfaced lie. Monica and Sharon never came out to apologize or offer an explanation. This dealership had wonderful reviews but this was not the experience I was expecting. Absolute nightmare experience. Only plus was salesperson Jeff Singer who was courteous enough to try to calm things down even though he had NOTHING to do with this atrocious display of customer service. If you are part of management and reading this, these employees should be re-educated in the art of customer service. More
Our experience with Olga was mind-numbing and mystifying. i see from a previous post that she has been at the dealership for, at least, several months. i thought that it was her first day. in fact, i thou i see from a previous post that she has been at the dealership for, at least, several months. i thought that it was her first day. in fact, i thought that it was her first second. she was not helpful, she was not knowledgeable, she was not friendly nor courteous. She did not even attempt to sell me a car. After inputting my personal info into the computer (should not have gone along with that)she, in a totally dazed and confused manner, found a desk so that we could talk. there was not calculator, there was no computer - she had a Post-It. She made it seem impossible to run #s but did mention that i owe a lot on my current car and that some people have bad credit (i definitely do not). She told me nothing about my options or their requirements. We finally stood up and left in the middle of our conversation as was becoming more and more ridiculous. I won't waste more of my time on her or the dealership except to say GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. More
Went to Lynnes Subaru to look at a used 06 Outback. The sales person Othello was friendly and advised me to leave a $200 deposit on the car even thou I was still looking at other cars. On the receipt he wr sales person Othello was friendly and advised me to leave a $200 deposit on the car even thou I was still looking at other cars. On the receipt he wrote 100% refundable. After looking at a few other cars I chose not to buy the one from Lynnes. I called Othello and he said he'd refund the deposit. Well, over 40 days later and four phone calls, no refund. Called again today and spoke with Julio Rodriguez and Eddie R. Both of which were no help. They told me to call back on Monday. Julio said they were busy and could not give me a refund today. Was also told the finance dept. had to access my records but could no do it on a Sat. I don't understand this because I left my deposit on a Saturday and they wanted me to buy the car on a Saturday. I feel this dealership is full of the typical used car salespeople. They tell you whatever is needed to make a deal, and really could care less about anything else. Do not buy a car from Lynnes Subaru in Bloomfield NJ. If you do leave a deposit and decide against the car, kiss your money goodbye. More
We were interested in test driving a new Forester and were trying to decide between the X and XT versions. I had called a day or two before we came in to let them know exactly what I wanted to test driv were trying to decide between the X and XT versions. I had called a day or two before we came in to let them know exactly what I wanted to test drive and the approximate time. They said no problem. I called as we were driving over and said we would be there in 10 minutes and our time was tight so please have the cars ready to drive. Again I was assured no problem. We walked in and told someone that we had spoken to Karl about a test drive. We were told that someone would get him. We waited a few minutes. No one came. Finally a woman who we later found out was named Olga came over and asked if we needed help. I said we were there to see Karl. She said ok and walked away. A few more minutes passed so I asked another staff member what was going on. She said that Karl was busy with other customers but that Olga would give us a test drive. At that point Olga started taking our personal info for the drive. At this point we had been at the dealership at least 15 minutes. Olga then walked away without explanation. Confused, we followed her outside. She was kind of wandering around looking at cars. We asked what was going on and she said the Forester was at a different lot and we'd need to drive over there, but she couldn't figure out which car to drive us over in. After 25 minutes at the dealership without having test driven anything, we walked. The dealership advertised that they would bring the car to a customer for a test drive. We decided to give them another chance if they would bring a car to us to drive. We made all the arrangements (the car, day, and time). 45 minutes before the appointment, Olga called to say they were too busy and she couldn't come. What a complete waste of time. More
