I brought my prius to them because I had a Hybrid system failure message on my dash and my obd reader only scanned water pump as the cause. Lynch confirmed that this was caused by a faulty water pump. I told them I had replaced the water pump 8wks prior due to a warning light that teased out to a dying water pump. I gave them the go ahead to replace it for $800-ish. They took the pump off and the technician said I had over tightened the bolts causing them to be stripped requiring a new timing chain cover and pump at the cost of $4400. I had the car towed home and found only 2 of the 5 bolt holes were mildly damaged (gummed up mostly) and cleaned them up with a tap and die set I bought online. Why would they have offered this service? Dishonest? Did the job again with OEM parts and again did not over tighten the bolts. (Toyota calls for 17ft/lb ea., which I did both times!) Be VERY CAUTIOUS with this service department. This review is not uncommon from what I've read before posting. Granted, people love their sales department and that is likely the reason they have the 4+ star rating they do. Toyotas are great cars, but do not get them serviced here. I trust you read this because you want to know what it is like to have your car serviced here, so here is my experience. More
