Never buy anything from them again. They sold me a flood damaged car! It's been over a month and I still haven't gotten my down payment back! They sold me a flood damaged car! It's been over a month and I still haven't gotten my down payment back! More
I bought a 2012 BMW 640i from Luxury motor cars, 245 US 22, Hillside, New Jersey, NJ 07205 on 13 January 2023. On driving off with the car after the purchase, I realized that the driver restraint indicator 22, Hillside, New Jersey, NJ 07205 on 13 January 2023. On driving off with the car after the purchase, I realized that the driver restraint indicator malfunction light was on, and I immediately returned to the dealership to report the problem. The sales lady that handled the transaction said it was a sensor issue and that they would order the sensor and fix the problem the next week. After that, I did not hear from the dealership and had to call them multiple times. At one point, the sales lady Jesha requested pictures of the dashboard screen to pass on to their mechanic. I sent the pictures, and she assured me that their mechanic was working on how to resolve the problem. After that, she started avoiding picking up my calls. The company receptionist suggested that I speak with the manager. The manager apologised for the problem and offered to buy the sensor and ship it to me to fix the problem. I rejected that and told him I would prefer to take the car back to them to fix. He said he would order the part and once he received the part, he would call me to bring in the car for repairs. I have not heard from him since then. On 2 February, I called to speak with the manager and was kept on hold for a long time. Finally, the receptionist informed me that the manager was not in the office. I am yet to be contacted by the dealership. I suspect they are waiting for my two-year warranty to kick in at the expiration of their one-month dealership warranty so that they can push the cost of the repairs to my warranty. Apart from the driver restraint problem, I also identified other problems with the car, including the following: a. The horn doesn’t work. b. The control buttons on the steering wheel are not working. c. A message that the car is due for servicing keeps popping up whenever the car is started. It may also be pertinent to note that I was made to pay for the servicing of the car and the one-month warranty that usually comes will all cars bought from the dealer in New Jersey, which should not be the case. I understand that the one-month warranty is a standard and should not be paid for. The sales lady Jesha told me that the car had been serviced and that there were no problems with the car. Even when I complained about the driver restraint issue, she went inside to consult with her colleagues and said it was a sensor issue and that they would order the sensor. I regretted doing business with them. Buyers beware. They have a shady approach to business and should be avoided by all means. More
