While Ted Rea was working in sales for a large telecommunications company, he started buying and selling cars as a hobby. After 5 years of nurturing his hobby into a business, he chose a spot in his hometown of Leavenworth to open a retail showroom. The showroom opened in 1994 with 15 vehicles and was a quick success. Ted soon turned his small venture into a larger organization with his brother, John, who opened a store in Hutchinson Kansas in 1995.
Ted and John believe their business is successful because the Luxury & Imports staff is unmatched. People recognize the value of buying a pre-owned vehicle over a new one. Customers are always looking for the right vehicle from a certain year at the right price. And the staff and Luxury & Imports is an understanding group who really listens to what customers need. The car a customer comes to see may not be the only one that meets their need. Consultative selling, as opposed to a quick sale, is how Luxury & Imports establishes lifetime customers. Ted has customers now who will drive past 20 to thirty dealerships to get to his lot. Ted and his staff are there for customers through the whole buying process, and beyond. This value makes Luxury & Imports different from many other dealerships. As our motto goes: "Our success is based on helping our customers find the right car at the right price."

Communication skills were very poor I would have liked to have gotten a lot more of communication and after several trips I hope they do something to make it right like fill my tank or offer a free next oil have gotten a lot more of communication and after several trips I hope they do something to make it right like fill my tank or offer a free next oil change or something. But overall the car runs great and I do love it. I will admit their own staff told them I needed full replacements of four new tires on my car and personally told me they told the boss I needed all four and he said he was only replacing two so that upset me but the boss that works on the car was very nice and stuck to his word in which I appreciate and they did handle the situation. If they make this right I will be recommending to several that are looking for cars. More

John Rea was great. I found the vehicle on line and when I called and scheduled a test drive (they needed a specific time to have the vehicle sanitized before I arrived) My wife wanted to also test driv I called and scheduled a test drive (they needed a specific time to have the vehicle sanitized before I arrived) My wife wanted to also test drive the vehicle and we wanted to have our mech check it out (our mech said the vehical looked brand new -a 2019) - John made arrangements for me to drive the vehicle home (Independence Missouri) and then scheduled a time the next day (they wanted to make sure there were nit many people in the dealership (covid safety) It just was a very good overall experience and a great car Thank You More

I purchased my vehicle in July and I noticed an issue over a few months, I took it to update the tires and have issue looked at. It came out that warranty took care of the issue, which they were very hel over a few months, I took it to update the tires and have issue looked at.
