While Ted Rea was working in sales for a large telecommunications company, he started buying and selling cars as a hobby. After 5 years of nurturing his hobby into a business, he chose a spot in his hometown of Leavenworth to open a retail showroom. The showroom opened in 1994 with 15 vehicles and was a quick success. Ted soon turned his small venture into a larger organization with his brother, John, who opened a store in Hutchinson Kansas in 1995.
Ted and John believe their business is successful because the Luxury & Imports staff is unmatched. People recognize the value of buying a pre-owned vehicle over a new one. Customers are always looking for the right vehicle from a certain year at the right price. And the staff and Luxury & Imports is an understanding group who really listens to what customers need. The car a customer comes to see may not be the only one that meets their need. Consultative selling, as opposed to a quick sale, is how Luxury & Imports establishes lifetime customers. Ted has customers now who will drive past 20 to thirty dealerships to get to his lot. Ted and his staff are there for customers through the whole buying process, and beyond. This value makes Luxury & Imports different from many other dealerships. As our motto goes: "Our success is based on helping our customers find the right car at the right price."

I can't praise these guys enough. They were highly communicative, going above and beyond to make sure I had plenty of info on the car before driving out. Lee took the time to do a walk around and driv communicative, going above and beyond to make sure I had plenty of info on the car before driving out. Lee took the time to do a walk around and drive test through FaceTime, and we were given a detailed record of the work done on the car. We drove out, and AJ took care of us. We identified some minor concerns with the car, and AJ and his team took us seriously. They immediately pulled the car in and inspected it again, and Guy and Jeremy and their team explained with us in plain language what they found, and whether it was a concern. They also immediately got to work fixing everything they could, no charge (all minor nitpick stuff). They were patient, hospitable, and friendly. We got to know a few faces around the shop, and everyone was approachable and helpful. Some cosmetic and truly minor issues were unable to be solved that day, and they went above and beyond by scheduling an appointment free of charge for us to come back and fix every single minor issue with cosmetics and little things here and there. The car was super clean and refreshed (oil change, tire rotation and alignment, interior detail, fluid top off, etc), and it felt like I was getting a new car. These guys are super professional and obviously take their work and their customers very seriously. I 100% would shop here again, and every dealer out there should take notes. More

Overall a pretty smooth transaction - purchased from out of state.... Got car in great condition... Been driving for 2 weeks .... havent done a thing to it. Staff very responsive and helpful!
