Should have had my mechanic look at the vehicle I purchased my vehicle from Lux Auto in 12/2018. It has taken me this long to write the review as I wanted to be out of the vehicle before sharing my I purchased my vehicle from Lux Auto in 12/2018. It has taken me this long to write the review as I wanted to be out of the vehicle before sharing my experience. -The sales process was easy, I will credit them there. I was never given the Carfax as I requested and I found out why just they other day when I purchased my new vehicle. *Problems that were never fixed as they promised they would be before the vehicle was picked up: *Passenger electric door locks never worked *broken fan in the heat/AC unit -The e-brake never worked (the owner insisted it did or it would have never passed inspection.) I had to bring the vehicle back 48 hours later as the clutch let go and the e-brake never held. It was a struggle begging them for a rental. Vehicle was returned with a clutch that was repaired but not the e-brake. -4 months into owning the vehicle the driver side wheel almost fell off while driving on the highway. Rotted out tie rod and wheel well. Quoted the "family discount of $2,000" My regular mechanic fixed it for under $300. -As I expressed my disappointment with my 4 month old vehicle I was told by the owner it was "wear and tear" When my mechanic looked at the vehicle he advised it should have never left the lot in this condition. (they did fix the e-brake after the 3rd request and the owner made sure everyone in the dealership heard how generous he was)... he also told me if I wrote this review to tell everyone how willing he was to help me. (I have his emails still saved, he blames his sales rep for all the issues though this process) -Month 5 sensors go, I almost crash going 65 on the highway as it kicked on something with the brake system, slowing my car from 65 to about 15 mph. I am thankful I have my like- this is not a joke. -Some other routine maintenance on the vehicle since- but I have spent money each month in 14 months of owning this vehicle fixing small and large problems. -Right before trading this vehicle, I was once again terrified while driving as the steering wheel became loose and almost fell of while driving. -Fast forward to this past weekend, I purchased a new vehicle. In the process of they asked me questions about my trade: *Has your vehicle ever been in an accident? *How many owners? -Lux auto withheld the CarFax as there were 4 previous owners and two major accidents. Oh, and it sat on their lot for almost two years. -This car should have never passed inspection, I was told by two mechanics withing 3 months of purchasing the vehicle. Once you buy and the commission is in their pocket they no longer seem to care... If I can save just one person from having a similar experience with my post, then I have done my job. More
