David, thank you for taking the time to review your most recent service at Westside Volkswagen as the feedback is paramount in fine tuning the service process to meet your needs. I was disappointed to hear about your impressions of the service that was done on your vehicle and wanted to apologize. We pride ourselves on being a transparent and efficient means for you to service your VW and when that doesn't happen I'm truly sorry. With your vehicle over the course of two visits hours were spent trying to define the issues you describe, at the second visit unfortunately it was noted that the rear tires were beyond legally worn and the brakes were in tough shape halting any progress by my technician. Your being in the industry should assist you in this area as we like all reputable repair facilities will not endanger our technicians on the job as well as gave you strong cautions about road travel with your vehicle. Even with the condition of the tires and brakes the technician spent another two hours working to locate the issue at my direction on lift and could not duplicate it. This is unpaid time as again with your knowledge of the industry, warranty will not pay for simply diagnostic time which I would hope would more then demonstrate our commitment to assisting you our customer. We invited you at multiple times to come test drive the vehicle when it was still deemed safe to point our the issues you describe and were turned down. As mentioned I would still be happy to investigate the issues your describe with your vehicle once the vehicle is made safe as your business and your trust with your vehicle means a great deal to me. I would hope we can find a rational solution and would certainly want to help you in any way shape or form as that's what I train my advisors, technicians, and support staff along with myself to do. I cannot and will not however endanger them in any form and again am sorry if you felt slighted by my decision to keep them safe.
