Well, I know that West Side barely did anything to the car, but getting the work approved under warranty was huge for me. The work done by the body shop, however, was subpar - overspray everywhere, passen car, but getting the work approved under warranty was huge for me. Also, I found a “leftover” plastic grommet in the rain tray. Not sure what other surprises await me, but the work was shoddy. More

I agreed to have the work done, anticipating that I could make do with my husband's truck for my first event of the next morning but that I would have my car back by 2:00 for the mid-afternoon event (where parking would be challenging especially with a full sized truck with rack). I got no calls, and instead made calls myself to check status. It was after 2:00 when an email and text came through. I had no time to pick up my husband, get the car, and make it to my event, meaning I had to drive a huge truck into a residential area and find parking, and my husband had to stay at his office after closing. So 2 things - took longer to fix than I was told, and lack of communication to me on status. Michael somebody is who I worked with, but I had to indicate somebody below to submit this review. I found it difficult to rate the service center on you questions above, since I've had positive experiences with Westside in the past. The Tiguan is the second VW I've purhcased from Westside. My concern started about a week ago when I brought our VW Tiguan (2018) in for an early 30,000 mile service and check up since we are going on a trip soon. I noticed on my way home that the check engine light was on. So, I got a new appointment and brought it back in today. They did fix it, however, I was told that the reason the light was on was the mechanic's fault, since they didn't properly put the oil cap on. While I appreciate that they took responsibility, they did not offer me anything to make amends for this. This mistake cost me about 3 hours of my time during a very busy week. I would expect that the last service fee, approximately $175, would be returned, or offer to provide the next oil change for free to make up for my lost time and inconvenience as a show of good faith i if you hope to have me as a repeat customer. Brought car in 2 months ago because the brakes were choppy and needed air conditioning unit sanitized. Service department completed sanitize and evidently performed a 30,000 mile inspection. When I called to schedule a pickup, I asked about the brakes. Service tech proclaimed “what’s wrong with the brakes? I stated that was the main reason I brought the vehicle in. Forward 2 months and approximately 500 miles later....I brought the car in because the brakes still didn’t feel right. Diagnosis....warped and rusted rotors. This experience tells me the vehicle was not test driven and diagnosed properly initially. Upon picking up the vehicle, I got halfway home before I realized the technician had given me someone else’s car keys with their house keys attached....my car started because I brought my spare with me. A minor inconvenience for me, but A less scrupulous person could have copied the house keys and perpetrated a crime. I have lost all confidence in the service department at Luther Westside Volkswagen. I am going to purchase a new vehicle in the next month....not a Volkswagen and not from a Luther dealership. Too bad, because my last 3 vehicles have been Volkswagens and my family’s last three have been from a Luther dealership. More
