Hard to find good help,.. I guess right? After two days of ownership and about 30 miles driven, the check engine light comes on and the car goes back for service. Easy enough fix, waste gate/ After two days of ownership and about 30 miles driven, the check engine light comes on and the car goes back for service. Easy enough fix, waste gate/turbo issue. After 3 days in service (really 5 days as it went in on a Friday and was available on Tuesday afternoon.) I was told two different reasons for the delay when asked, "when I could plan to pick the car back up?", on Monday afternoon. As that was the expectation set when the car was dropped off. One rep. tells me the part was not available and was being shipped, another tells me the tech assigned to the work was off on a Monday. Pick a story, not a big deal. After picking the car up on Tuesday evening, I drive it the next day and smell antifreeze after about a 20 min drive. I open the hood and see the obvious issue, antifreeze all over. Looking closer, I found a total of 4 coolant hose clamps that were not in place on 4 different lines. (2/4 were dripping and caused the mess.) Additionally, there were a total of 5 lines (vac/coolant/electrical) were not returned/reinstalled into the retainer clips to maintain clearances and so on. 5 minutes with a pliers and flash light, and 5 more with a garden hose I finished the job. Two questions; #1. Being a CPO VW, and having gone through the CPO inspection process wouldn't these relatively obvious and simple fixes been found? And repaired prior to listing the car for sale if they were pre-existing issues? #2. If this is the quality and attention to detail the service staff has when completing a repair, should this same staff be inspecting cars to be CPO in the first place. This is not the first time I have seen issues like this from Luther Service Teams. The Brooklyn Park Jeep service dept. has similar issues and on a handful of past occasions, I have provided similar feed back with that team, via this platform and voice to voice. Unfortunately, improvements were never seen and the same issues continued. (I bought into a service plan that kept me locked in for longer than I would have liked to have been, and might have even been hopeful to see some changes,.. so I stuck it out with them.) Please note; Everyone is very nice. The facilities are nice. The process is simple enough. Unfortunately, I have zero trust in this service team and the risk of being stranded on the side of the road or causing a possible accident due to their poor/inconsistent performance is a real concern. I have purchased 4 cars (3 new and 1 used) from Luther. In every case, the pricing and expectations were met on the sales floor. More

I was pleased with the service. I wish this form would allow me to answer the questions I would like to answer and then accept those. The biscotti in the waiting area are a great op I wish this form would allow me to answer the questions I would like to answer and then accept those. Shocked! Headlights not working on one side. didn't want a ticket so I stopped and pulled one inner light out to inspect it. A horribly designed spring clip popped out and I spent the rest of the day trying to get it back in. No success. Next day go to Luther VW to have the clip installed. Gave instructions to do so. An hour or two later a service man walks up to me and starts telling me my brakes are frozen. Not my car. Sometime later, he walks up to me with estimates in the thousands of dollars to fix all kinds of things. It was my 16th wedding anniversary and plans were being spoiled because of the long unnecessary waiting time going over my car with a fine tooth comb. I told the guy I want that clip installed and get out of there. Later he says the big plastic thing that holds the clip and lights is broken! It was fine when I brought it in... I checked it with a mirror and it was exactly like the drawing on the internet. A long time later, I get charged over $40 to have a little spring clip installed and waste a few precious hours of my wife's and my wedding anniversary. I'll have to forget about it is the only way before I'll go back to Luther VW. More

GOOD WORK , EXCEPT . . . MAINTENANCE WAS PERFORMED WELL AND ON TIME. THE CARWASH WAS LESS THAN EXEMPLARY. I'D CERTAINLY RECOMMEND WESTSIDE TO OTHER VW ONERS.
