The men in the service bay treated me with respect and listened to my description of what was happening with the car. A call was placed as soon as they were finished so I knew how to plan when to pick it up when it would fit my schedule. The cashier had someone bring the car up to the front and we were on our way. Thank you, Adam! The right front coil spring on my 2011 Versa recently broke and my warranty was no longer valid. I initially spoke with a Rep from the Nissan corpora The right front coil spring on my 2011 Versa recently broke and my warranty was no longer valid. I initially spoke with a Rep from the Nissan corporate office who did not seem willing to investigate whether this breakage was due to use of sub-standard materials when the car was manufactured, as I explained to him that I could not recall any "event" that could explain this kind of damage to a vehicle with only 25,000 miles on it. The Rep's only suggestion (after telling me that there is no recall in place addressing coil springs breaking prematurely, although several on-line consumer forum sites have many stories of similar spring failure on the Versa and other Nissan vehicles) was to contact the Dealer for relief. I was fortunate to speak with Adam Bistodeau; a Service Advisor with your agency, and he immediately assumed the role of advocate and dealt directly with the corporate office in an effort to resolve my concerns. Within 2 days, Adam was able to diagnose that, in fact, the right coil spring had broke and the left coil spring was on the verge of breaking, as well. He also managed to get the all the necessary repair work done for me without charge. Needless to say, I was very pleased with the outcome. Based on the information that Adam had regarding my situation, I believe that Adam did a great job of negotiating a solution that was fair to all parties involved. As for the larger issue, I hope that Nissan will take a more serious look at why the coil springs are wearing prematurely, as every day wasted dealing with one consumer at a time may be jeopardizing the well being of thousands of loyal Nissan owners across the country and the company's reputation. I hope others will learn from Adam and ultimately do the right thing! Bill S More

They provided a loaner and were kind enough to replace a part that the manufacturer wasn't able to do. The only issue I had with the service department was there were a few times I called and it was difficult to contact the person I wanted to. Sometimes wouldn't get a call back for a couple days. My situation is unique. It ended up being a manufacturer buyback. If anyone has ever dealt with this process, it’s very frustrating and isn't an over night process. Thanks for doing your best.
