When we went into this dealership we pretty much knew what car we wanted. My husband though was shopping around for the best price. Later that day we went back and bought a new car. They did come in with the lowest price right to begin with and we could have saved ourselves time if we would have bought it right away. We bought a new 2009 Kia Sedona from Ms Carrie McWilliams in June 2010 at a very nice discount. She gave us all the time and attention required to completely satisfy my wife and I. Our salesperson did a great job on our behalf. The car we wanted and the color we preferred came with an option that we did not want. Our salesperson was able to negotiate with the manager to lease us th we wanted and the color we preferred came with an option that we did not want. I did a search online for a used Kia Soul + in titanium. To my surprise, I found a wonderful price for one with just under 9k miles. It was the exact car my wife wanted. I contacted the dealership to find o To my surprise, I found a wonderful price for one with just under 9k miles. It was the exact car my wife wanted. I contacted the dealership to find out more about the vehicle and decided to drive 5 hours to Minneapolis to look at it with the intent to purchase. The salesman was happy to put a hold on the car for $500 and we did just in case someone were wanting to purchase it. We didn't want to miss out on a fair deal since this model and color and price are very hard to find in Iowa. So, the first minute the dealership opened on Saturday morning, we called and gave them our CC# and a $500 deposit hold on the Kia and told them that I will be up there on Monday to buy it. Well, late Saturday afternoon I got a message from their sales manager, Dave Rise explaining that they sold the car and our hold on the car didn't count-that it was not their policy to hold cars. Today, (Sunday) I get another call from the sales manager explaining what happened only this time he was a bit "huffy" with me and very non-professional. He couldn't understand why I wanted to buy that particular car and tried to push one of his other cars onto me-one that was not the make and color my wife wanted. The old "bait and switch" and a sad, sad story of "we won't make anything on these, bla, bla, bla". We had an agreement, and that if I put a $500 hold on the car and came up there the next business day to purchase everything was good. Their upfront pricing and enjoyable salesman Chris was initially good but follow through and customer care was much less than desirable. Dave rise was not willing to go the extra mile to make it up to us and outright told us he didn't want to sell to us "outa-towners" anyway because he wouldn't make any money off us on oil changes and servicing. Just a rotten thing to say and doesn't say much for a so-called reputable dealership. If I were the dealership manager, I wouldn't keep him around with his bad attitude and poor service and his lack of concern for correcting a negative experience. Dan Schuster More
My husband and I were able to give a general idea of what we were looking for in a vehicle. Tracy brought out 2 vehicles for us to see. We bought the first one he brought out. We brought the car home and were so impressed with it that we went back the next day to see Tracy once more. I had a sporty Pontiac and wanted more of a family car for myself. He took us out to the lot and pointed the Kia Rondo out to me. We tried it and took it home that day. We did have some issues with getting the car detailed, but the used car Salesman Dave took care of it and I am SO happy with how I was treated and the vehicles we purchased. These people truly do have Customer Satisfaction in mind. I encourage anyone that is thinking about a car purchase to give Tracy a call. More
