Exhaustively researched sedans on the internet and decided on the Kia Optima. Had been working with a competing dealership that had been recommended by a car broker--figured we'd get the silk glove treatment. This competing dealership was not helpful in simply telling me yes or no if they could get what I was looking for. On recommendation from a co-worker, decided to try the Costco program since we're members. Was contacted within 10 minutes by Teresa, received a competitive pricing on the overall vehicle package we were looking for and decided to come in to see what could be done. Went in and worked with Teresa and Jerry to locate the vehicle the wife and I could agree on (color wise) which unfortunately was in eastern WI. The '12's were going quick with the $1k incentive in place. Although not able to get that '12 model at the pricing we wanted, Jerry was able to get a '13 that fit exactly what we needed for only $580 more than the '12 (should have been $1k+ more with the new model year and lack of $1k Kia dealer rebates on the 2013's. James went through the possible add-on up charges and we decided to get the Crystal Glass and the 5-yr extended warranty package (both for less than what was initially quoted) since it didn't add much to the monthly payment. Plus, having a fully warranted car from years 5-10 (after paying it off in year 5) made sense. The price of the extended warranty right now is peanuts compared to what we'd "lose" on a trade-in value, tax, title, fees, financing, etc. on a new car down the road. More
We had contacted Luther KIA via Costco Member Auto Program. We had left several messages with the individual that Costco has listed for the Luther KIA contact. After a week of leaving messages for t Program. We had left several messages with the individual that Costco has listed for the Luther KIA contact. After a week of leaving messages for this individual, we sent another request to Costco asking for a different KIA dealership. Costco again forwarded information on the same dealership; however, this time there were two contacts instead of one. I contacted the woman listed on the Costco sheet, explained that we had been trying to get a hold of her associate & she explained that Luther had split its KIA/Mitsubishi Dealership from their Hyundai Dealership & that she & her associate were the contacts for Hyundai not KIA. I asked if they were all Luther dealerships. Yes. So why didn't your associate follow-up with us to provide the correct contact information? No explanation. We then were referred to Ryan Rosanovich @ Luther KIA and we shared with him what had transpired prior to contacting him and recommended that they contact Costco to update this information since it took us a week to finally get to the right person. We shared with Ryan that we were looking at several makes & models and that we were specifically interested in a 2012 KIA Optima black with grey interior. Although they did not have this specific car, Ryan assured us that they could get it. We set up a test drive on a Friday. Ryan referred us to another sales associate who followed up Friday afternoon stating that the auto that we were going to test drive wasn't available but would be by the following Monday. When we arrived Monday evening, the auto that we wanted was not available but again we were assured that it could be. Since they were having a February special ending on Wednesday, it was important that this be finalized by Wednesday. We test drove what was available based on the promise that they would get the 2012 KIA Optima black with grey interior the next day. Based on this promise, we proceeded with the paperwork that included personal data. After completing this paperwork, the sales associate brings in Ryan Rosanovich who explained that the only KIA black with grey interior had been sold that morning. Had Ryan or his sales associate notified us that what we wanted was not available, we would not have bothered coming to the dealership because we were not interested in compromising. Ryan also stated that the only other car with our specifications was in Sioux Falls, SD & that they would not be able to get it before the end of the month which means that we would forfeit the Luther KIA's Feb. special. And although we could put a down payment to "hold" the car, since we wanted to test drive the specific car before purchasing it, we would not make the end of the month deadline for their special. Since we felt as if we had completed the paperwork under false pretense, we requested that they destroy this paperwork. Ryan said that they could not. And that if we were willing to take another KIA Optima with a different color, we could proceed. Since Ryan knew that we wanted specifically a 2012 KIA Optima, black with grey interior, he should have verified before we drove over the last Monday of the month to test drive the vehicle. Second, the price the Ryan quoted as a Costco member was not the price that quoted on Monday. Since we have been Luther Honda clients for over 20 years, we were very surprised that this dealership was from the Luther family because our experience with Luther Honda has always been exceptional. Two thumbs way down. B&J More
I went in to look at a Kia to buy for my parents as an anniversary present and I have never been treated so rudely by a salesperson in my life. Tracey DeBruzzi informed me that a month from now they won't anniversary present and I have never been treated so rudely by a salesperson in my life. Tracey DeBruzzi informed me that a month from now they won't be selling Kias and subsequently wasn't at all interested in showing my any vehicles. I asked him if I could see some anyway and we walked outside and he literally pointed at one and said "this is what they look like"- thanks... I then asked if I could see the interiors of a couple of different trims. He rolled his eyes and then decided to talk turkey; he said he is paid on commision and wasn't go out of his way to open up any vehicles because "frankly, he wasn't goint to make any money." I've never been treated so rudely in my life!!! Upon talking to the manager, Tracey apologized "for not being able to sell a car today"- not the incredulous manner in which he treated me. Tracey DeBruzzi represents the worst in car salesman. I will never buy a car from Luther if this is the standard that they treat customers. Appalling! More
Everything went smooth. I recieved the car that I wanted and it came in on a shorter timeline than expected. The use of Truecar.com was the reason I came to this dealer. and it came in on a shorter timeline than expected. The use of Truecar.com was the reason I came to this dealer. More
I inquired about a vehicle through Costco on a Sunday. They put me in touch with the dealer, and Monday afternoon I drove out of the lot in a new vehicle. It couldn't have been simpler. Though I came in at the fag end of the day, Tracy was patient and courteous to me and my friend, answered all my questions in detail. His suggestions about the choice of color helped me decide soon :). I was happy that he promptly agreed to look into the truecar offer that I got and negotiated from there. Right through the entire process he was professional and helpful. Chris, in Finance also did an amazing job. Very patient and courteous as well. Got me a good APR. His overview of the financial procedures to be fulfilled on my part was very clear and hassle free. Appreciate his involvement and suggestions in the deal. Thanks to both. Please keep up the good work! More

The dealer posted a price for a new vehicle on their web site that looked very good to me so I emailed the dealer to make an offer to buy at the published price. After meeting with Carrie McWilliams (sales site that looked very good to me so I emailed the dealer to make an offer to buy at the published price. After meeting with Carrie McWilliams (sales) the price was actually even LOWER than the initial price we had agreed on over the internet. All other aspects of the buying experience were equally pleasurable, including the brief, soft-sell discussion with the finance rep (Christian - first name is all I remember). All in all, the best car buying experience I have ever had, and that goes back over 40 years. More
My salesman, Soroush Nezhad, took the time to go over every feature of my new car and encouraged me to contact him if I had any questions. I came in on a very busy Saturday and he never made me feel rus every feature of my new car and encouraged me to contact him if I had any questions. I came in on a very busy Saturday and he never made me feel rushed to make any decisions so that he could move on to the next customer. I have been working with this dealership for over 15 years and will continue to do so if I receive the wonderful customer service I received that day. More
