Purchased a KIA Sorento 8/11/12 on the condition that the chips in the hood and driver’s door be fixed and also the dents in the roof. I bought the 3M paint protection and I did not want that to be installed chips in the hood and driver’s door be fixed and also the dents in the roof. I bought the 3M paint protection and I did not want that to be installed over the chips. Defeats the whole purpose of the 3M protection. Agreed to by Kevin, the used car sales manager. Kevin said he would call me on 8/15/12 to schedule appt. for the paint chips. we'll, 8/15/12 came and no word from Kevin, so I stopped at dealership on my way home to see Kevin. This was 6:30 pm. He said he was waiting for the paint guy to call him. He could have followed up with me earlier in the day to inform me of that. He assured me he would call me. Kevin finally called me on 8/20/12 to bring KIA in on Wed. 8/22/12 for the repairs. He said my salesman quite and it "went by the wayside". My salesman was never involved in this part of the agreement anyway. Dropped KIA off on 8/22/12 and went over everything in detail with Kevin and he assured me it would be taken care of and he would call me when it is finished, Thurs. or Friday. We'll an entire week went by and I did not hear anything from Kevin, so I called him at 3:30 pm 8/29/12. He came on the phone and said to me “I thought you already picked it up". I told him no one called me; you were supposed to call me. He then said give him a half hour and he will call me back. He never called back the entire evening. I decided to go check and see if my KIA was in the dealership parking lot after hours that night. Found it parked right by the entrance to the dealership, and even in the dark, I could tell nothing has been fixed properly. Remember, they had the KIA a full week now. The next morning Kevin did call me and say it was all done and looks great. I knew it was not because I seen it the night before, but instead of calling him out about it on the phone, I went along and stopped by there after work that night. It was unbelievable, they took a paint pen and blotted a few drops on the hood and made a very week attempt to fix the damages in the roof. It was probably a 5 minute attempt at a fix, and they had the KIA a full week. Kevin said that was a poorly done job, and he said he looked at it in the dark and it looked good. Remember, it was parked right by the entrance to the building. Same spot it was in the night before when I looked at it. He never did explain to me why he never called me back the night before. I was very irritated at this point and he said that he will see to it, it gets done the way we agreed it would be done. Two more weeks go by; Kevin calls me and said it is done right this time. I stop by there to look at it and pick it up. Kevin is busy, so a salesman shows me to my KIA. The salesman and I instantly noticed deep swirl marks in the door; the front of the hood was not completely wet sanded, so there is orange peel. There is paint overspray on the windows, and the door handles. The worst part is the paint on the door is not a very good match with the rest of the KIA. It looks horrible in the sunlight. By this time, I am all worn down and out of patience with Kevin. I told him I want the 3M cancelled and I just want to be done dealing with this service. The following weekend I took the KIA to a detailer to show him this mess; he could not believe what he saw. He said I should take it back and get it done right. I asked the detailer how the swirl marks happen. He said it usually happens when "people are in a hurry and don't care." Bingo! When I picked the KIA up from the detailer, he pointed out where they burnt the paint when it was attempted to be buffed by the body shop, and also the massive amount of paint overspray on the window and door handles. I spent $120.00 with the detailer to get it into the shape it should have been returned to me from the dealer. Every time I get out of the KIA, I look at the door and it just sickens me, paint does not match. As far as the 3M paint protection, Luther KIA finance said they have to reimburse my bank the amount of the 3M protection. I am keeping my fingers crossed, they do it. It is hard to put into words and fully explain the experience I had with Luther KIA. However, needless to say, this was the worst car buying experience I have had in my life. I am 47 years old and have had a fair share of automobiles over the years. It goes without question; I will never purchase another automobile from Luther. More
After shopping Honda, Toyota, and Kia, I decided the Kia Optima EX was the car I wanted. I liked the overall appearance of both the exterior and interior. The exterior fit and finish seemed to equal the other brands. Driver's seat was the most comfortable, and the leather seems like a very good quality. I like a sporty feel when driving. I like a firm suspension and responsive handling. The Optima delivers. It is also quiet and tight. Lots to like. I've owned the car for two weeks and it is exceeding my expectations. I shopped several dealers. A couple were not good at all; high pressure, and other old stale sales tactics. Luther Kia of Bloomington was top notch. The sales experience was professional and very straight forward. I felt that I was being treated fairly and respectfully. They also were able to match the offer from the dealer of the brand I was driving. That made giving up my brand loyalty and switching to the Optima easier. I highly recommend considering the Optima if you are in the market for a nice looking, nice driving, sporty sedan. And, Luther Kia of Bloomington was clearly the best of the six dealers I shopped. More

We purchased a 2010 Kia Soul Sport. We looked at inventory online, as we live over an hour away from the dealership. We saw a car we liked, called to ask if they would negotiate the price, and was t inventory online, as we live over an hour away from the dealership. We drove over an hour to the lot. Stood outside looking at the car for over 15 minutes before I got tired of waiting for a salesperson. I called the dealership from the lot, and asked for someone to come outside. We were met outside by the person I spoke with on the phone (Shawn). He was very polite. We test drove the car and decided to talk numbers. The sales manager was unwilling to negotiate the price and we felt like our trade in (2006 Saturn Ion with 101k miles) was very underpriced. Again, no negotiating. The finance person we dealth with was awesome. We were annoyed they were unwilling to negotiate the price of the car and how underpriced our trade was, but finding something comparable to the car we looked at was going to be more work that we wanted to invest with the time limit we had available. The one VERY bothersome thing to me was Shawn had his cell phone turned on during our talk with him. It rang constantly. Over five times. He finally answered the call, and talked to his "dude" to inform him he was at work. "Dude, I am at work, I will call you later" repeated several times. Shawn was nice, but didn't take my politely worded "Vibrate works wonders" into consideration. Would I go back again? If I only dealth with the finance guy, most certainly. If Shawn turned his phone to vibrate when dealing with paying customers in front of him, most certainly. If they were willing to negotiate prices to customer satisfaction, most certainly. Otherwise, I will stick to a dealership closer to my hometown. More

We Walked in Bloomington Kia Thursday afternoon to look at your cars. We were very impresed when we drove the Kia Soul +.
