My wife and I were in the search of upgrading our family sedan to something with more space, an SUV or a Minivan. After receiving a recommendation from our banker at Wells Fargo to connect with Lamarr at L sedan to something with more space, an SUV or a Minivan. After receiving a recommendation from our banker at Wells Fargo to connect with Lamarr at Luther Hopkins Honda we went over to see what they had to offer. When we arrived we were promptly greeted and set up with John Rosenquist as we found out that Lamarr had the day off. Having made specific arrangements with family to watch our 2 1/2 year old son we were on a time crunch to close the deal that day. When discussing our needs my wife and I were very clear on our needs and comfort level in terms of price. John had us test drive a CR-V and Odyssey to determine which would be a better fit. The Odessey was a much better fit for our needs but we were still skeptical on if they would be able to make it work in terms of price. The first quote brought out was $110 higher than our budget. We explained that we were very firm on our budget. After more waiting the price came down to within $10/month of our budget. Understanding that we had still not gone through the back-end sales process my wife and I requested that we have some time to consider the offer and grab lunch. John made a nice gesture and covered our lunch at chipolte. :-) After lunch, we decided we needed to check out a few more alternatives prior to biting the bullet. Ultimately we ended up buying a Toyota Sienna from Dave Letta at Rudy Luther Toyota. We were able to bump up to a higher trim level with more features, a better fit overall for our needs and Dave did an excellent job at listening to our needs up front and undercut our expected budget by $30/month. I would recommend either dealership but be prepared to sit for a couple hours and possibly having to negotiate your price down if you go to Hopkins Honda. If you would rather skip the games go to Luther Toyota. More

I came in for recall warranty work--front passenger airbag. As always, A C Hecker, my service rep, handled my appointment efficiently and courteously. The service person was timely, respectful, cheerful, and did what they reported. The bill reflected what we agreed on, and the paperwork was accurate. My 2010 Honda Civic needed the air conditioning fixed. I got an appointment quickly, dropped off the car early to friendly and helpful service staff. I got a rental car from them which was so helpful so I could get to work. My car was fixed that day, it needed a new compressor, and worked perfectly afterwards. I had purchased an extended coverage plan which covered the cost of the service visit and the rental car. All in all, a very good visit. I went to Luther Hopkins Honda to purchase a vehicle that I had been looking for & they had one of only a few in the metro. Since I knew that this was the one I wanted, I made the salesman an offer 500$ belo I had been looking for & they had one of only a few in the metro. The price was reasonable as it stood, but I wanted to try anyhow as this car had been on the lot for some time and the price had been lowered twice already. He said that Luther dealerships do not do that & would not ask his sales manager because he would say no too. That was not entirely honest as in my experience I had been to another Luther dealership just a week or so prior and negotiated 1500$ off list price with the salesman there before deciding to walk as I was not entirely sure I wanted the car in the first place & had been pressured into negotiation mode. When I told the salesman this, he said that he isn't entirely aware of operations over there & thus contradicted himself. I did get the price lowered (albeit by only 150$) when I insisted on speaking directly with the sales manager, though the salesman told me again that he wouldn't do it beforehand. Compared to all of the other salesman I have dealt with these past few weeks, this one did pretty well. However, I would recommend negotiating price with the sales manager ONL:Y. One more thing, I had to wait over an hour to pay & was 'given' a gas top off as a way to apologise for the inconvienence as if that should not be something that comes with a used car purchase from a reputable dealer anyway. Because of an auto accident I was forced to go out and shop for a vehicle and was not excited by the thought of it. I am happy I called Hopkins Honda instead of returning to a dealership I had visited previously (I tend toward what's familiar). I serviced my vehicle at Hopkins Honda so had established that the service was professional and they treat folks well. My initial phone call was answered by Lamarr R. who was extremely pleasant and non pressuring on the phone and immediately set a tone that made me think I might enjoy looking for a vehicle. We went to the dealership and he showed me what I had asked about, but also offered something that had not yet been on the website. The car was impeccable and facts of it presented clearly. We test drove and there was no pressure from Lamarr; he just made sure to put in every positive fact he could about Honda in general, the vehicle specifically, and asked enough about my vehicle needs to ensure me it was a good fit. When I returned to purchase following, he was wonderful about checking in on me while the finance office went to work on my loan, and it was a pleasure to have him hand me the keys and shake my hand. A very positive transaction that I hadn't expected after a bad car accident and a forced trip to car shop. Thank you! More
