I have always appreciated Luther Ford’s service department. My confidence has been somewhat shaken by this last visit however. I made an appointment to have my spark plugs replaced. When I spoke to the service manager he informed me that the repair would cost approximately $250. I told him I thought that that was excessive and that the typical repair charge for my Ford escape was between 130 and $160. He apologized but said this is the price charged for service at Luther. I was hesitant about moving forward with the repair but decided to proceed. Within 10 minutes of waiting in the lounge, the service manager came inside and told me that the price for the service was in fact $150. 130 and $160. I was pleased with the correction but had to wonder if I would’ve been charged 250 had a not raised the issue. It particularly is worrisome given that my wife and my daughter often bring their vehicles for servicing at Luther. I was also somewhat concerned by the fact that I was charged $12.94 for shop supplies for a spark plug change. I like working on my own car and recognize that dielectric tric grease should be put on the threads of the new plugs. But $12.94 just seems excessive e. If you are dealing with a brake job, I would understand . But spark plugs? This simply seems like You are just trying to increase your profit margin. More

In order to avoid contact, I prearranged that I would drop my car off, leave my keys in the drop-off box, and The service for my vehicle was stellar. After paying online the key was to be locked in my car. I would bring my extra key to pick up my vehicle. These instructions were on the work order but were not followed through. After a phone call, a request via text message and an email, the staff did accommodate me and did what I originally had arranged for. So, all went ok but maybe the process could have been a little smoother. More
