Had few issues to address headlights, foglights, washer pump and tranny shutter. The first 3 didn’t bother me as much as tranny shutter. Tranny wasn’t addressed. I have couple hundred miles to drive to this dealer so I didn’t want to have to come back for trans unless they didn’t have parts or time. I am a mechanics son and have built many hot rods in my days so the tranny seemed much bigger issue to me. The closest dealer to me is Hanson’s in Grafton,ND. My calls there to service advisor have been extremely unimpressive. I had oil changes done there couple times and I had to sign a blank work order to get my truck and leave. I have no idea what they did. I will do my own oil changes from here on out. When I called Hanson’s in regard to above issues and asked if they are covered in my warranty advisor said well I don’t know. I asked can’t you look it up? Dead fish on other end of line didn’t answer. I won’t go back there. I like Luther and don’t have any bad to say about them. The advisor was knowledgable and I had confidence in them fixing things correctly and quickly. Only problem we had is my cell number changed since I purchased truck and they had the right cell number but it wasn’t on work order. The appointment time etc was sent to my phone the day I made it. So I know they had correct number to call me. The problem came in when they had finished with my truck and I wasn’t notified because they had wrong cell number on work order. This was corrected when I showed up because it was getting late in the day and snow storm was beginning. I drive home in white out conditions the hour I lost from miscommunication on cell number telling truck was ready, I would of escaped most of the bad whiteout conditions had I the extra hour+ head start. Luther is good dealership and I am glad I bought from them especially when I hear the horror stories from others dealers not covering issues that should be covered. My husband the night before did a leak test with soap and water and found a cracked rim on my suburban. I brought my vehicle in 3 times before they found it. It takes a lot of planning and going out of my way to get my vehicle in to be serviced. Because my tire would not hold pressure I also was unable to travel over Christmas becuase I don’t have another vehicle that holds my entire family. Christmas was after the second trip in to have it looked at because it was not holding PSI in that tire. I bought my suburban at Luther so I thought it would be best to get it serviced there and it is near the hospital I work at. I will not be bringing my vehicle in or be buying a vehicle again from Luther due to the pain and money it caused us. More
Very happy with service, not happy with the car! Our 2.0 liter turbo should not be sold in north Dakota as it cannot take winter weather. The turbo freezes even after installing the louvers!
