B.M. Benson, My name is Bryan and I'm one of the sales managers here at Luther Cadillac. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I'm sorry you feel "old school tactics" were used. I've spoken with the sales consultant and other managers involved. At times the vehicle buying process can seem confusing and has many moving parts. In this situation you contacted us about the van, we set an appointment for you to see and test drive, you took the vehicle to your own mechanic and had it independently inspected, you mentioned the issues he found. At that time the negotiation process started. We discounted the vehicle and gave you the opportunity to fix yourself-you informed us that would not work so we agreed to fix the issues and you agreed to purchase the vehicle at that point. The vehicle was detailed and cleaned for you, you mentioned it was not acceptable so we sent it out to another professional detail company and was recleaned. When you met with the finance manager he provided all required paperwork at time of delivery in addition to a copy of the carfax for you. We followed our process and went above and beyond by offering to deliver the vehicle for your convenience. I invite you to give me a call and we can talk about your experience. Thanks for your response, i was never once confused with the "moving parts" of the sales process. I was told the vehicle could not be discounted at all by the sales person and he could only fix issues that could be considered a safety issue. He agreed the unfunctional door lock and the broken gas door were considered saftey issues and could be fixed as our agreement along with getting the vehicle detailed. I agreed and gave my credit card info as a down payment while the items were fixed and the vehicle detailed. Almost a week and a half later I arrived to pick the vehicle up only to find the interior partially wiped down, but definitly not detailed. Again more promises were made that could not be kept, but we decided to move forward with the purchase. The finance manager was obvioisly irritated that he had to waste his time with us, was very short with his comments and did not want to make copies of forms that we signed. You did agree to deliver the vehicle, however we should have never been in that position to begin with. I dont know what calling to have a conversation about my experience would accomplish, i just know my future business will not be with Luther Cadillac of Roseville. Best wishes in the future and i hope this experience can be used to improve future experiences for others.
