Not as good as previous owner I was anticipating my service visit to Luther Cadillac for the first time since the purchase of the dealership from Wally McCarthy. Some improvements I was anticipating my service visit to Luther Cadillac for the first time since the purchase of the dealership from Wally McCarthy. Some improvements have been made to the showroom. The waiting lounge is decorated better and the drink offerings are generous. Kudos to Luther on that. I do miss the free popcorn, though. The vehicle service took way too long, however. 1.5 hours for an oil change and inspection with car wash was too long. Plus, the car wash service is inferior to the service Wally McCarthy had previously. I used to look forward to seeing the spotless, hot- waxed car being returned to me. The car wash utilized by Luther returned a car with noticeable water spots and streaks from dying with dirty towels. I ended up washing it again at home. Now I have just realized a new concern, looking at my receipt. I cannot tell if the oil given to me in the oil change was synthetic, which it is supposed to be. I will have to call Luther to make sure it is. Just some thoughts for improvement. More
Unsatisfied I went in for an oil change and diagnosis on a side detection error (which was $150). Two and a half hours later, I left and they apparently didn’t do the 21 point inspection that normally is done, because the tires were low on air when I arrived but they were not filled nor even mentioned as being low. The oil was changed but they did not reset the oil life monitoring as it still read 14% when I left. They didn’t have the part for the side detection repair that would have been over $800. I can buy the part online for just over $200. I bought my car at this dealership but haven’t been back for a while due to poor service. Thought I would give them another chance since changing to Luther but it would seem it hasn’t gotten any better. I’ll return to my local GM dealer, Johnson Motors, in New Richmond for future service. I should have stuck with them for service to begin with. More

I was kept up on any changes. Some service appointments are very routine. This one started out that way, but towards the end, problems with the Lug-nut Key arose. The decision to go forward with additional expense absorbed by the dealer ship for $68.00, and get the car back to me ASAP, was perfect. Charlie did a great job handling the challenges. So at the appropriate time, I returned to Luther Cadillac, where linings were remeasured and it was decided we did not need the repair at this time. Such honesty and good care of this customer is a continuation of the good service we have always had from McCarthy Cadillac before it became Luther. More
