I was only "looking" around when this vehicle caught my eye. I test drove and decided i didn't want another car payment. BUT for two weeks I went back and forth and decided I DESERVED IT! So I went in and discussed $$, well, Barry and the Used car manager helped make my purchase work. They took my trade in, crunched some numbers and i left Burnsville Hyundai, A new Hyundai owner! My husband KNEW i was going back the second time to make the purchase, and he was right! :) They got it done!! Thanks guys! I feel like I'm driving a rental car, that i don't have to return! Straightforward, great purchase experience I started at Luther Burnsville and checked out a Hyundai Santa Fe Sport I really liked, but then decided to continue shopping since I wanted to make s I started at Luther Burnsville and checked out a Hyundai Santa Fe Sport I really liked, but then decided to continue shopping since I wanted to make sure to explore my options. I then went to Jeff Belzer's in Lakeville, and came very close to purchasing a Kia Soul. At the time, I thought this might be a better option since the price of this new Soul was comparable to the used Santa Fe....or so I thought. After a very confusing (and frustrating) discussion with the finance person at Jeff Belzer's, I abandoned my purchase there. Suddenly the price became higher than I was quoted by the Sales person, due to the crazy rebates and pricing. The interest rate through the dealer was much higher than I was quoted at my credit union, and the price offered was about $1000 higher than I anticipated, but they insisted the $1000 Kia rebate they were tagging on would make up for it. Maybe it would - but that didn't explain why the price of the vehicle was higher than I expected. It was an incredibly aggravating discussion with the finance person, which led me to give up on that purchase. Perhaps if they knew how to explain all this better, or better yet, had a straightforward pricing system, they could have kept my sale. Flash forward to later that day: I went back to Luther's in Burnsville and went with the Santa Fe Sport. I still really liked that Santa Fe, and if I was honest with myself, wasn't 100% sure about the Soul. I worked again with Barry Larson, who was fantastic. He was very genuine, friendly, and helpful, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The dealership had a great laid back sort of feel. Ted Gebre in finance was also fantastic - he was respectful, friendly and very clearly explained my finance and warranty options without any pressure. My rate was MUCH better with Ted than at Jeff Belzer's. Best of all? No ridiculous rebates and special discounts!!! The price I agreed to with Barry was the price I paid! No surprises! And because of the great price, I felt good about going with their warranty as well. I would definitely go back to Luther's in Burnsville. In fact, I am super glad because it's only a couple miles from home and because of my good experience, I am sure I'll be glad to use their service center. More

Great Salesman Experience The Good: Went in to look at a used vehicle that was bigger than my current vehicle. Met with Babek and he was the only one working (or so it seemed The Good: Went in to look at a used vehicle that was bigger than my current vehicle. Met with Babek and he was the only one working (or so it seemed) and was very attentive and got a great sense of trust with him immediately and his ability to multi-task was phenomenal. When bringing my family there later in the evening to look at it (it was over 40 miles one way to the dealership from our house), Babek was fantastic with the whole family and even spent time playing with my son while me and my wife discussed the options. The Not-So-Good: After taking the car for the initial test drive I talked with (and met) Mike to determine trade-in value of my current car. Since I stopped in over lunch I was on limited time, however between phone calls and other 'sales staff' in his office, took a very long time to look at my car. Initial offer on my car was ridiculously low, and thought about walking out directly there. These discussions occurred throughout the course of multiple phone calls he took (and didn't excuse himself, just cut me off and answered the phone). However after leaving the dealership, they were able to meet close to my value, albeit he stated to me numerous times that they could not keep it on the lot and would have to send it to a bargain lot/wholesaler, hence the lower offer. I really got a good sense that I was important to him and that the customer comes first (Note: Sarcasm). Come forward a week, my car was on their lot for sale and feel like I was lied to in order for them to increase profitability on my used car. Not really a big issue, but it really doesn't leave a good feeling since there was an appearance that I was misled in order to get my car at a better amount to increase their profit margins. Summary: Babek was a real professional and totally understood my concerns, needs, wants and spent time to get to know me and my family. I would definitely deal with him in the future with no questions asked. But with the not-so-good mentioned above I would have reservations about going back to the dealership (especially trading in a used vehicle). More
