Bait and switch This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. We were attempting to buy a new 2018 CX5. We had been working closely with Moses for about a This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. We were attempting to buy a new 2018 CX5. We had been working closely with Moses for about a week. One of the first questions he asked us was whether or not we were Costco members - we confirmed that we are Costco members. We shopped around and decided to go with Luther because the price was the best and we were promised $1000 discount, a free remote start, and 5 years of free oil changes, as was advertised online and agreed over the phone and by text with Moses. We even gave Moses a credit card to charge for a deposit because we knew the 2018s were going fast. When we came in to seal the deal, Moses informed us that he actually hadn’t charged our card for the deposit because one of his coworkers sold the car we had agreed on! We decided to move forward with a different car, same trim and everything, just a different color. Apparently, it was at a different dealership so they had to go pick it up. While they were doing so, we worked on the deal. We were given a number that was at first, $2000 higher than we agreed. We pointed this out and Moses left to run some more numbers with his manager. Later, he brought us back another number that was still $1000 higher than what we had agreed and he said no remote start would be included! He tried to give us some excuse about how it would be more expensive because they had to get it from a different dealership. We were still not happy, so we talked to Sal, the manager. Sal informed us that the issue was not the fact that he had to get it from another dealership, but that we were Costco members. Apparently, the remote start would not be included with a Costco discount, nor could the $1000 discount or the 5 years of oil changes. So, being Costco members was apparently going to make this more expensive for us?? My partner explained explicitly that we had agreed upon a number with all the above discounts/bonuses included and that Moses had known about the Costco membership since the very beginning. He tried to feed us some line about how he wouldn’t be able to do both for us, even though it was previously agreed upon. We gave him one last chance to do the deal with us as agreed and de refused. At this point, we were completely done. We told them, “no, this deal is not going to happen. It is so unethical to go back on a number that you have previously agreed.” We left without a vehicle. We wasted hours at the dealership and many hours of previous research and communication back and forth with Moses. This was, by far, the most unprofessional, unpleasant experience either of us have ever had at a car dealership. Rather than make a deal with us, these sales people tried to bait and switch us and make us pay a higher price for it! We are so disgusted and will never buy from Luther Brookdale Mazda and we will never recommend it to a friend. Very disappointed. More

Mediocre Visit I bought a car from this dealership in November 2015 and one recently in November 2018. My initial visit to this dealership in 2015 was stellar, I got I bought a car from this dealership in November 2015 and one recently in November 2018. My initial visit to this dealership in 2015 was stellar, I got great service, knew every detail of the transaction before I signed anything, the salesman listened to my concerns, etc. However, my recent visit was simply mediocre. People were friendly but feel that the service was lacking and many of my concerns were not addressed. I left with a new car not because of the service or deals, but because of my own reasons. I have to say I wasn't terribly impressed with my visit this time around. More

I think it makes good sense to have technicians trained in specific brands and models working on today's highly sophisticated vehicles. They have the right parts and the experience to ensure an accurate diagnosis and resolution of any problem. It might cost more than the fast oil change places but in the long run you pay less and get more reliability for your money. Nobody touches my Mazda except the Mazda experts! More
