Nice sales staff, incompetent mechanic Their selling point was the fact the car is gone over by a certified mechanic, and any issues were recorded and fixed. I work on cars, have restored several. I could see the car I bought had some work done, notably front end. Clean fax means nothing. But despite recognizing the hood wasn't original, and for some reason all the wires under the hood had been retaped, and poorly I will add. But it did run well, and I slide a mirror under car, it looked clean, interior nice. I bought it knowing I could address the issues I saw for a reasonable amount. It was listed at a fair price. But other than the obvious 2 new tires they had put on, I doubt anything else was done that was wrote down by their mechanic. New tie rod end was listed, but the other side had a bad tie rod end also, why ignore that side? Maybe because that side had a broken sway bar end, which had to be seen, he put new bushings on with the bolt going right thru the broken sway bar end. I could go on and on with things that any competent mechanic would of fixed, and not just say they did. It isn't about the money, it was a fair price. It's about being lied to about the very thing they pointed out to me many times,, that the car was gone over with a find tooth comb. Uh yea More
A simple tire/wheel inspection I bought my car here a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander. It had 104 miles on delivery. I have never bought a new car before so I take very good care of it, o I bought my car here a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander. It had 104 miles on delivery. I have never bought a new car before so I take very good care of it, oil changes, fluids, tire pressure etc... after 30xxx miles I started to hear a strange noise coming from the rear passenger side of my car, so I took her into the dealership. Living a long distance away I had to make a late afternoon appointment.( Checked in @ 3:28 pm) I was greeted by Jennifer who was sweet and kind. After waiting in the lounge area for someone to give me the update on my car maybe 25 mins only. (4:04 pm) Jennifer came in to tell me that the guys took my car for a test drive and herd the noise I described to her. She stated that the tech opened the back hatch and found a water bottle rolling around in the back. She told me that when they removed it the sound wasn't heard anymore by the tech, I asked her at this point to please have the tech check my tires, I told her that didn't seem right at all because I was hearing like a wheel bearing sound. After a few more minutes at 4:34 pm I got a text message saying it was all done Jennifer meet me at the counter and told me that my car was done, they had checked my tread and found them to be about 50% of tread left and that they had removed the water bottle for me! I was then presented with the slip and told me that they had washed my car and it would be on the side of the building waiting for me. 4:35 pm I walked outside and noticed my car was not washed so I shot her a text back stating "hey no car wash"? to which she replied that they said they did. and that she would send someone right out to do it. I replied that I would wait and even offered to drive it through the wash myself if needed. She responded that a runner was on the way out. The man came took my car to the wash and so I went back to the service area. Jen came and apologized to me about the wait and then told me that the service guys at night are not that great and pretty much only capable of oil changes not much more. We spoke about her working for the company for many years and that she was excited about a pending move to a new Rudy Luther building site. The runner brought my car back and we headed out of the parking lot. Not even a block away the sound was heard again from the rear tire area. I took my car to my local Walmart and found that my front tires are bald and both rear tires have very dangerous bulges in them. I was barely able to afford one so I had that one replaced. I called Mike Davis my dealer and told him the whole story, he had me talk to Kevin in service who told me I have to call the tire manufacturer for warranty on tires. I called them Toyo Tires. I have much more to say but this is what my experience with the service dept was like. More
