Recently purchased a new Odyssey from Luther Brookdale Honda. First issue was damaged left rocker panel just below the drivers door. I walked around the vehicle before completing the sale and noticed the Honda. First issue was damaged left rocker panel just below the drivers door. I walked around the vehicle before completing the sale and noticed the damage. The salesman, person that cleaned the vehicle nor anyone else noticed the damage. So I was told. Salesman tried to take a little off the price to get me to take it as is. My on the spot decision was to have them replace the panel. Wow. Was that a mistake. Next. The salesman that transferred my license plates from my trade in to odyssey used a cordless drill. I checked the plates before leaving Luther Brookdale Honda and found the rear plate was loose. He used a cordless drill and stripped out the plastic tabs the screws go in. He then replaced the tabs and installed the license plate again before I left the dealership. The next day I check the rear license plate and it was loose. Same thing. Stripped out the plastic tabs. Contacted the salesman and he said he would make sure service had the parts and the plate would be fixed when I drive back to the dealership to have the rocker panel replaced. Fast forward a few weeks and I’m at Luther Brookdale Honda service getting the rocker panel replaced. Waiting in the lounge I received a text from the service advisor saying my vehicle was ready. Service advisor said the rocker panel replacement is done but the service manager wanted to speak with me. Went into his office and he told me that they couldn’t find the parts to repair the rear license plate so the plan was to take the parts needed off a different vehicle. 45-minutes later the service advisor came to get me in the waiting area. My odyssey is done and I could go. Not done yet. Two days later my wife and I are going to run some errands. She notices that there are scratches in the windshield on the right side of the rear view mirror. Long, deep, straight scratches high up towards the top of the windshield. And after further inspection, I see scratches in the windshield on the driver side. These are light but straight scratches compared to the ones on the right side of the rear view mirror are deeper and longer. Hadn’t driven the vehicle since having the rocker panel and license plate worked on. Also. I never ran this vehicle through a car wash either. But I know that Luther Brookdale Honda did run it through their car wash. I’m convinced that the windshield damage happened sometime when it was in there hands. I did contact service manager. Spoke with him twice. Absolutely denied my claim. I have no proof that the damage was done when my Odyssey was in their possession. Seems I have to pay for the windshield replacement myself. More accurately the $500 insurance deductible. Once again I have no proof the damage to my Odyssey happened while in Luther Brookdale Honda’s possession. One thing is for sure. Someone at Luther Brookdale Honda knew the rocker panel on my new Honda Odyssey was damaged before I even saw the vehicle. No one said a word. Not the salesman. Not the detailers that prep it. No one. If I had left the dealership without noticing it like I did with the windshield damage, I would have to pay for the replacement of the panel or lived with it. Just like the windshield damage. Now this is where most reviewers will say they will never go back to Luther Brookdale Honda. I’ll leave that to your discretion. I never checked reviews for this dealership knowing I live 1-1/2 hrs away. I’ll never need service there. I’ll never need to go back. I’m just purchasing the odyssey there. How wrong I was……. More
I recently brought my 2023 Civic in for a recall, and the service consultant who took care of my visit was excellent! The recall letter informed the work would take about two hours, and as I had decided to service consultant who took care of my visit was excellent! The recall letter informed the work would take about two hours, and as I had decided to wait at the dealer for the visit, the service advisor kindly informed they were running a bit behind (cold weather had rendered the service department quite busy), thus the visit may take a bit longer. No problem for me, but not even two hours had gone by when the advisor came to the lounge to inform the work was complete! On this visit, as on all previous visits, the advisor was extremely courteous and professional, and clearly has control of his workday-for which (as his customer) I am very fortunate and grateful. The advisor is Ali Alvi, and Ali absolutely Rocks! -Dennis P. More
I do not recommend Luther Brookdale Honda and especially salesperson Victor Oats. A few weeks ago I emailed Luther stating I was interested in a Honda Pilot. Was given to Victor Oats by the internet sal salesperson Victor Oats. A few weeks ago I emailed Luther stating I was interested in a Honda Pilot. Was given to Victor Oats by the internet sales manager. We had a few email exchanges where he seemed decent. When we were ready to buy, we called and asked for Victor in order to set up an appointment and was told he was off that day. We made an appointment with another salesperson. Victor called a few minutes later and said he would come in just for us. We arrived on time for our appointment but was told by the secretary Victor was running a few minutes late, but would be here in 5 minutes. We waited 20 minutes and decided to leave when another Luther employee asked if we had been helped. We stated we were waiting for Victor, but he never showed nor did anyone else check in with us. That Luther employee tracked him down and when Victor brought us to his desk, there was an elderly lady to leave his desk. It was clear he had been working with her all along while we waited. He had not come in just for us, and was ignoring us in the lobby. For some reason we gave him the benefit of the doubt and continued with trying to buy a car. He gave us the keys to a pilot to test drive while he had the car manager look at our trade. After a quick test drive and a lot of waiting, Victor gave us an extremely lowball offer. Valued my car at $5000, when most other dealers were offering $8000. The price of the Pilot was way above what we had discussed in emails. And he stated there was absolutely no room to move. It was a take it or leave it offer even after showing him a lower offer from another dealer. It was clear he did not want to work with me because I knew what I was doing and had done my research. In conclusion, we wasted 2 hours at Luther Brookdale Honda where I was ignored most of the time. Less than 20 minutes of the 2 hours we spent at Luther Brookdale Honda was in Victor Oats presence. Let that sink in. We took a 20 minute test drive, spoke with Victor for 20 minutes, and spent 1 hour and 20 minutes sitting in a chair waiting for Victor to give us a highball offer that was a complete waste of time all of the while being told we are important to him. Victor is as low of a salesperson as you can get in my opinion and we will never be returning to Luther Brookdale Honda because they employ such a low quality person. FYI, we ended up driving to Tom Kadlec in Rochester and they all were respectful, nice, and constantly checked in and followed up with us. We worked with Josh who I highly recommend. I know the drive is far, but totally worth it. I got the exact same car as Luther had but I paid $46,700 out the door with my trade and supposedly Luther Brookdale Honda's "cost price" was $51,100 with my trade. Do not let Dealers tell you no dealers negotiate anymore, because there are several that will. More
I had recently purchased a car with the help of Abbes. I had an idea of what car I wanted but Abbes further assisted with finding exactly what type of car would be suitable and affordable for a buyer like I had an idea of what car I wanted but Abbes further assisted with finding exactly what type of car would be suitable and affordable for a buyer like me who is purchasing their first vehicle. Abbes was very honest which I really appreciated. I highly recommend going to this dealership and working with Abbes especially for anyone looking for a professional car-buying experience. More
Although I ended up purchasing a vehicle elsewhere, Chad Rawson was excellent in his service and helping me narrow down what I was looking for. When this dealership didn't have the exact model in stock, Cha Rawson was excellent in his service and helping me narrow down what I was looking for. When this dealership didn't have the exact model in stock, Chad was sure to reach out with any potential matches that Luther Brookdale Honda received. Taking the time to stay in touch meant a lot to me, and will definitely be considering his partnership again in the future! More

Dealership is great. Jim the general manager is the most unprofessional individual I’ve ever worked with. Tim, the service manager is following right in his footsteps.
