Disrespected and Lied to by the Staff My Husband and I live in Bismarck, ND (430 miles from this service location), but have always made the effort to have my car taken to the Luther Bloom My Husband and I live in Bismarck, ND (430 miles from this service location), but have always made the effort to have my car taken to the Luther Bloomington Hyundai for all service, checks, and oil changes when we are back to visit family since I purchased my car in 2013. We simply have always appreciated the friendly staff, service efficiency, and customer care offered. However, our most recent experience was the exact opposite. When purchasing my car at this location, I was given nine free oil change cards for this location only, being reassured at the time of receiving this that I was in no way required to make any other purchases or services to receive this incentive. I have used half of these coupons without any issues or purchase obligations. However, on my most recent oil change appointment, the service clerk had informed my husband that $285 of repairs/checks would be required that day for them to honor the oil change coupon. Now, we had made the appointment for the oil/filter change only as we had only a short amount of time to stop to have my oil changed on the way to my sister’s wedding. When we asked if we could have this service done elsewhere or on a different visit, we were quickly declined and abruptly informed that our previously guaranteed discount would not be honored for the service that was already being performed. The representative was obstinate that there was, “nothing else he could do.” In short, my husband and I had to wait 90 minutes for his simple scheduled oil change (double the amount of time that I have ever had to wait) to be finished, were disrespected and rudely unheard, and have been lied to by one of the company’s representatives at some point in time. The entire experience is appalling. Needless to say, this is no longer a location that I respect and would not recommend Luther Bloomington Hyundai to others. More

Worst experience ever, hands down I have been a loyal customer of Hyundai, and Luther Bloomington Hyundai, for the past five years. Our family has purchased two Hyundai vehicles, and u I have been a loyal customer of Hyundai, and Luther Bloomington Hyundai, for the past five years. Our family has purchased two Hyundai vehicles, and used Luther Bloomington for the service, repair, and part replacement needs of our 2012 Accent. Under two years ago, we bought brand new tires from Luther Bloomington Hyundai. A couple weeks ago, when the tires were at about 14,000 miles, the car pulled very strongly and was difficult to control. We looked at the tires, and noticed that one of them looked worn. We then took the car to two different auto shops, and they both confirmed that one tire was extremely worn and beginning to separate. Two of the other tires were also showing unusual signs of wear based on their usage. They suggested that we replace the tires and redeem the warranty for the three tires that failed. At this point, we returned to Luther Bloomington Hyundai, hoping to clear up the matter and purchase new tires. However, we were told to leave and no one would speak to us about the problem. So, we called to make an appointment. I tried to explain the situation over the phone, but was repeatedly brushed off and could not receive any information about how we were sold faulty tires in the first place, or how we could go about redeeming the warranty. I was also not allowed to make an appointment without first ordering new tires. At this point, my trust in Luther Bloomington Hyundai was shattered. How can I trust them enough to order new tires from them when no one will even speak to me about the previous set? At this point, I sent an email to Hyundai’s consumer affairs, explaining the problem. I cc’d the manager on the email. Of course, once I get consumer affairs involved, Luther Bloomington is suddenly responsive and helpful. I received a call from the managers, Lenny and Mike. They sounded very accommodating over the phone, and assured me that my issues with their service would be remedied and that my vehicle problems could be resolved. I was given the impression that my next visit would be dealt with personally by the service manager, Mike, who was familiar with our situation. However, that was not the case. When my husband arrived at Luther Bloomington, he was greeted by a different serviceman, Nick. Then he was given different information than what I had received over the phone. Additionally, our vehicle issues were not resolved. The serviceman he was working with said that the tire was not worn enough for the warranty, and also that the tire would be fine for use over the summer. This is in direct contradiction to what I was told at the tire place I took the car to on vacation, when we first noticed the issue. Additionally, I KNOW that the car is not safe to drive, as I have driven it myself and it is difficult to control! I attempted to call each of the managers, hoping to work things out, but neither answered their phones. I sent a quick email to each manager explaining the problems we were experiencing. I then received an email from Mike, claiming that he had been present during the conversation with my husband and that they were still working with him. However, this was untrue! My husband never met or even saw Mike during his visit. Although we gave Luther Bloomington Hyundai every chance to help us, my husband was forced to leave yet again without resolution of the problem. I am unhappy to report that the managers at Luther Bloomington Huundai, Lenny Checheris and Michael Stansberry, utterly failed to resolve my issues. I could not be more displeased with their service, and regret the time I have wasted trying to work things out at their dealership. It seems that when a place sells you a faulty tire, they should at least try to help you redeem the warranty. I understand that in this particular case, that may not have been possible. However, this should have been explained to us clearly and in a timely matter. It should not have required multiple emails, multiple phone calls, and multiple visits. Our time was unnecessarily wasted. We were not only misled, but blatantly lied to. On top of all of this, we got absolutely nothing except a faulty set of tires. I am hoping that these problems are specific to Luther Bloomington, and not endemic to Hyundai. However, I will now be forced to think long and hard before I do any business with Hyundai again. I will certainly never be returning to Luther Bloomington. More
